  1. If someone told me they work every day Id assume Monday to Friday. If someone said they worked 'full time'' do you think they work 24 hours a day 365 days of the year?
  2. I think you've just stumbled on the most well known fact regarding firewood known on the entire planet. I think you're just advertising for this company to be honest? A 30 second search would have brought up hundreds of posts on this matter.
  3. Im off from this Friday till the 14th of January.
  4. Fair enough, I must be out of touch then.
  5. Clearly they are hiring folk who have to stay away from home 9 weeks at a time or they'd just get locals in. The fact they have lodging already in place proves that this is not a one off. So yes, being away from the family for that long should be factored in. Unless they pay your travel back down each weekend of course? Why would hours be irrelevant? If thats the case why not work 10 hours? Or 100? Yes, yes, do what you enjoy, if being away from the kids for 9 weeks at a time for peanuts is your bag then crack on. But surely a little perspective on what they expect from you and what they pay for that time should be seriously factored in.
  6. Honestly? £600 a week to spend 9 weeks away from your family working 55 hours a week? Its criminal.
  7. If you need someone to run your Intelligent Completions off-shore Im yir man! Make a mean cup of Joe. Make a lot of Saw Dust.
  8. Did you get a 130 in the end John? Im just up the road from you in Forfar and it looks like Im away to pull the trigger on a 130 Woodlander XL. Do you do milling work for customers or just yourself?
  9. I find there is next to no comparison between Alaskan Milling and using the M8. If you're still not confident with a Logosol after 2 years Id suggest leaving the Alaskan well alone.
  10. No worries Lee, but Im in the N.E of Scotland, might cost a bit in shipping.
  11. It has a bunch of inlets. Im working in Norway just now so able to look closely but its something like this; http://www.buffertanks.co.uk/shop/800l-buffer-tank
  12. Hey Lee, its not included in the Stove price but the buyer of the Stove would get first refusal.
  13. Cheers, Yes, I have a 800 liter buffer Tank that I was going to install as well.
  14. Ok thanks. :) I’m N.E Scotland. Andy
  15. That would be awesome, thank you.
  16. Cool, would be good to know for sure which to avoid! ? cant say I thought the Stihl Chain is that fast. But 99% of the wood I’ve milled is beech and oak.
  17. Which skip chain did you use? From what Ive read lately the new Hyper Skip and the one below that are meant to be the bee's knee's. Ive only used Stihl Ripping Chain and was gonna try the Oregon Hyper next. Also interested in others feedback.
  18. Aint that the truth! Yeh, auctions are a funny old place. People get caught up in the buzz I think, or maybe feel they cannot leave empty handed?
