  1. Mind if I ask what kind of day rate you or anyone else that feels happy to chip charges? Ive been milling my own products for 2 years now. Have a 48" and 36" Mill with 36" and 48" Bars. If I can get the work in I'll get another 088 and a bigger bar too.
  2. Very nice! May I ask why you chose to mill at 3"?
  3. Anything out there? Cant see anything in the For Sale section here nor on ebay and not sure where else to look. Any other forums I should check out? Looking for a Bandsaw, preferably on a Trailer. WHY?
  4. They do not offer it full stop. The dealers wrong supposedly. Call them and see.
  5. Watch out for that three year warranty. On another thread its been proved to me false advertising.
  6. If you dont buy it could you pass his details on, please? Im looking for one.
  7. Are these Mills worth the money? I was surprised at how much a 10" Lucas Mill cost.
  8. Im thinking they wanted the unit back more for quality control and investigating a potential problem rather than customer satisfaction. But either way they have gone up in my estimations.
  9. Currently my biggest bar is a 48" but when the next big tree comes my way I'll be going up a size.
  10. I have an 088, would be interested what the work cost and if you noticed much difference?
  11. I'd say that would be fine 084 and 660 was a ok combo for me. Can get a bar adapter plat from CSB Awesome. I'll look into that. Care to elaborate on what CSB means?
  12. Thanks for the info Rob. Guess Il get a 27RX from you next. Really looking forward to having a play with it.
  13. I have a 3phase Logosol running 3/8” low pro chains and have yet to snap one. All worn down to nubs before binning.
  14. I have an 088 and a 064, anyone know if they would work together? I guess the fact they have different bar attachment studs is one thing?
  15. Cool, I'll have to give that a go with a chain. I have the Granberg precision sharpener, that should do the job.
  16. Any chance the offer for the HD kit will come back? Was excited when I clicked the link but its now dead. I could push to the offer price but no way could I afford the current website price.
  17. Are you guys taking 10 degree ripping chains and grinding/filing them to 0 degrees?
  18. Is it just the sides making the top cut look wonky?
  19. Ive not had cause yet to go up to a 54" bar but looking forward to the time that comes. I have an 088.
  20. Im not sure how much more power a MS880 has over a 088 but Ive yet to snap a 3/8 ripping chain yet.
  21. Thats some log! :O What did you use as a replacement bar? Might do the same. Are you not worried about wearing shorts? Im thinking about entering the saw into the cut and exiting.
  22. ok, might try that. Do you find that the rubber pad helps with a smoother cut?
  23. Interesting. Some pictures of this would be great. Im still using the Ecomills but having now seen a real Alaskan in the flesh I might push the boat out and buy one when funds allow.
  24. My last order was for a 3/8" Stihl Ripping chain for my 48" Bar but looks like I'll be trying the 27RX next. As its sligjhtly slower and you get a slightly rougher finish would slowing down even further reduce the roughness? Was the roughness noted when milling with a winch or pushing, or both?
