  1. No, a Woodland but to me the Norwood Trailer looked the flimsiest of the two so was interesting to see a vid of its strength.
  2. Awesome, thats really good to know. I intend to mill for myself, friends and family but if I can make a little cash on the side then all the better.
  3. I guess when you join up it opens the site up a bit more? Good place to source wood in the round?
  4. Interesting. I see the sight but never thought much of it. I'll be buying a Portable Mill next week so Im guessing it will be worth joining as well? Quite fancy a Lucas Mill as well. That will have to wait though.
  5. Interesting vid for those those that think the Trailer Beds are not strong enough...
  6. You know you're implying that there is no doubt that they would be using phones as opposed to not using one right?
  7. Hopefully when all you guys move over to electric there will be a flood in the market for used Petrol Saws for tight arses like me?
  8. Makes me wanna get one now! But I just buy used and cheap Stihls. But even my 064, which is old was near £400 this summer.
  9. Cheers, had a read. Did I miss the bit about England? Seems all Scottish to me.
  10. Yeh, get in writing from your insurance too. I bet they dont.
  11. Is that a longer or shorter time in Scotland then?
  12. So does Norwood. Logosol make one for the B1001 and the B751 one will come next year. But they stipulate they may not be road legal in your country as they sell them internationally. They sell them as off-road use but can be used on the highway.
  13. Yeh, thats what Ive seen as well. Spent way to long trying to buy used for a fair price, its pointless. Sent you a PM too.
  14. Ok thats good to know, thanks. So you're getting a second HM130? They must be good. I'm still waiting on the cash clearing from my Folks. Ive only just learned about the Logosol B751, it looks really good, so Im kinda torn now. The biggest downside is no Trailer Package yet and thats a must for me. They're coming in 2019 though.
  15. Geeez, thats a nasty looking Mill. Its like a school project gone wrong. I think the Chinese Mills would be a better bet and the same money too with a tried and tested design.
  16. Well that would be pointless as I have Chinese Mills too.
  17. I guess you could say the same about a Fiat and a Bentley. Id rather buy one Bentley than have to keep buying cruddy Fiats. But I agree, if you're starting out get a Chinese version, they are almost free in comparison. But its not apples for apples.
  18. I dont agree on them being nearly identical. They look the same and work the same but the build quality on a real Alaskan is vastly superior. For long term Milling the Granbergs the way to go, in my opinion at least. I still have the Chinese ones.
  19. Oh damn, Im still bidding on the current scam. He's not replied to me though. Would love to win it and mess him about.
  20. I have two. A 36" and a 48". I use them a fair bit and have done many a slab with them both. You get what you pay for and they work well, but being that much cheaper Ive noticed both of them wearing out quite fast now. At least on the fasteners where the Chainsaw Bar is pinched and the Up right Bars as they are tightened and slackened often. The Up right bars are easily replaceable but the Chainsaw Bar Pinches are going to be a pain to change out. Ie, grinding and re-welding the Nut to the Bottom. Having now seen a real Granberg and how much better they are build, and how much Ive been using them and have not grown tired of Slabbing Id have bought a genuine Granberg initially. So if you're gonna be a light user get the cheap set, try it out and see. Ive had 2 years out of it and its still accurate, I just need to give it some lovin'!
  21. Damn thats great. As you say its hard to imagine this is from 1992! If she's not popped her clogs yet she must despair at this snowflake #metoo BS.
