  1. As in tractor/trailer or mog? Any more info appreciated
  2. Have a look on "The Wee Chipper Club" page. The cs100 are a great first chipper, easy to maintain and superb aftersale/maintenance advice from the Greenmech guys on here. Don't know how I ever managed without mine. Upgrading to a 150p this year but I'll be keeping the cs100 as it's great for the back garden work, as Maple says, talk the customer into wanting the chip
  3. What's the reason behind NOT using triple blade?
  4. You could be the first investor of the Boris bridge
  5. Depends on your circumstances already, if you were to invest in bigger/better machinery for a business would it earn more money or be sat doing nothing. Pay off a mortgage, invest in a property. Or just sit on it for a rainy day.
  6. Blimey, surprised they hadn't greased brakes up as well. Some muppets out there
  7. I would say the guy who sold it was very clued up and knew you weren't. Hope you get it up and running without breaking the bank, but so far doesn't sound good.
  8. Wouldn't worry me either but there's some right skinflints on here
  9. So, with the impending emission legislation coming in to force soon, what will people be doing when it's time to upgrade/buy your new machine? a, don't care. b, petrol machine and hope there's some sort of duty free red petrol available for such machines. c, diesel machine with diesel particulate filter, and a possible price increase that goes with new technology. Also, will the diesel chippers already out there pre DPF, hold their value or even increase in value due to demand if the brand new product has a large price increase?
  10. Completely mind boggling, makes you think how irrelevant the human race is in comparison to the vast scale. Are you saying the universe is actually physically expanding, and if so what is there now? Or expanding as we see it, with ever increasing technology?. Surely there has to be other life form out there.
  11. Break the rules, pay the fine. The developers probably thought it wasn't a serious issue so just crack on. Surprising how many customers want rid of a tree, find out its TPOd and say "well who'd know". I'd be interested in whether any of the fine goes into replanting in the area or just gets swallowed up by the council.
  12. Posts like this are why I love arbtalk
  13. Hopefully the drink after the tree work . We Did a Conifer removal for a Ukrainian lady last week, she insisted we have a shot of vodka before starting. We compromised at a brew and some toast.
  14. As above, I'd say leaf cutter bee. There will be individual segments within that leaf tube with an egg in each that will grow into a larva then a bee. Pretty amazing how a tiny bee makes this. Oh, and they don't like wood burners
  15. Maybe the string was faulty great programme though
  16. Anyone watching Judi Dench : My passion for trees? BBC1 20:00-21:00 looks very interesting on tha ad today
  17. Stihl do some brushcutter/hedge cutter trousers that you put foam inserts in the knees, shins, thighs. Not sure how good they are though. Don't think they'd stop hs82s though, as my tripod ladders have a few notches in them
  18. Cheers G A Groundcare. Loads of crap around float in carb (now cleaned out) and an embarrassing fuel filter best order a new one
  19. Holds 1 litre of oil, when I drained it there was 1.5 of fuel/oil so it's not just a dribble that's getting in to the oil.
  20. Help with a Greenmech cs100. Last week at a job it wouldn't start, to the point the battery went flat, tinkering about I took air filter off and tried starting it again, brown liquid was coming out of the black pipe that enters the inside top of carb. When I put finger over end of pipe to stop liquid it fired up to the point of the pressure forcing finger off pipe then cutting out again. Turns out the petrol has somehow got into the oil sump (happened once before 6 months ago, spoke to greenmech who said change oil and would be fine, and I must have left fuel tap on!!!). so, changed oil and all was fine, apart from a little smoke at first. Anyone know how fuel is getting into the oil? I've checked the fuel tap and now even started taking fuel pipe off when transporting. Just hope it's not a bigger issue. Any advice is greatly appreciated
  21. Ha Ha, Just pick it up as you go along
  22. Try Halfords Autocentre, I got some BFG T/A Ko2 last week from there.
