1. What price is that? I've just had a 0 week referral from LV, comes in at £70.84 month
2. MetLife are a great company but only cover for broken bones. Ideal if you play sports and intensive work. I shattered my collarbone 3 days after taking out my policy and got paid out within 10 days of making the claim 👌🏻.
3. Liverpool Victoria £27 per month for £1250 cover but can't claim for first 4 weeks of accident. Trying to change it to 1 week so I'll update post next week. Expect monthly cost will go up though. They did say it also takes in to account your age.
4. Certainly an eye opener those photos, don't usually wear gloves but will be more cautious from now on.
5. No idea, not taken it apart yet, sure someone will post them up on here soon
6. Anyone know best place for bearings? Replacing the blade drum on my CS100 so thought I'd do the bearings while it's off. Had a quote at £85 + vat per bearing plus £25 p&p, that's some postage charge.
7. Seller should have paperwork with it I would have thought. If you're doubting it already it's time to walk away from it. Try phoning an Ifor dealer and ask if they can check, worth a try, will only be a yes or no.
8. Hi, my Stihl 130 combi has been playing up today, instead of idling when trigger is released it seems it's on half revs, so chain/trimmers are still moving. They've not seen a lot of use and are in excellent condition. Any ideas what could be the cause? Thanks in advance
9. How old is the child? Camo pop up tent or similar as good will gesture if you feel you want to👍🏻. That way his mum tells all her friends what a great bloke you are and you may get more work 👌🏻 Might buy one myself for brew breaks lol
10. As long as you look and act professionally and explain the work to be done, there's not a lot more you can do. You're never going to please everyone.
11. Never too soon, people will take the pi55 given half a chance. As long as you do the agreed work for the price quoted, why should you do extra for nothing. Do written or emailed quotes and list exactly what work is being carried out. Don't mind trimming up the odd shrub when doing customers hedges if they ask but that's it. We did a turfing job last year and customer wanted a revised price as we weren't there still working when they got home and they thought it would take all day!!!! You'll always get chancers, don't get stressed about it, not worth the hassle. Priced a tree removal last week at £600, guy says I've had a quote for £150, WTF you phoning me for then lol. You'll look back in a few years and say can't believe some of the jobs I used to do.
12. We any nearer to the best roller mower then? Waiting to purchase one but can't decide between Viking, Honda or John Deere. Must be decent on wet grass though with all the rain we get.
13. eBay £170, then £50 for the paint spray
14. Trailer says 750kg gross, at a guess I would say between 100-150kg empty. Yes I use it on trailer but then easy to take off into rear gardens etc. Off its trailer it still chips into a Ifor tipping trailer though. Great machine
15. Will have a look on plate tomorrow
16. Yes, works a treat
17.
You got email address I can send pics to, can't seem to put them on private message

18.
Will send some pics tomorrow eve

19. Thinking again though, that was for multi tip, not greenteeth
20. You can get them online, wheel is welded to shaft so you need to replace whole lot, was quoted £500 for wheel, pockets and teeth (4pairs).
21. I did hit an old piece of cast iron drainpipe though and did this to the thruster plate on Brushcutter
22. Doh, easy lol
23. They are superb, been bramble mulching last 2 days. Would post pics if I knew how.
