  1. Cheers for reply, luckily my back was to the wind while grinding, was a fair bit of dust blowing about though. Thankfully I'm still alive
  2. Anyone know where to get the 1/4 sprocket for these echo saws?
  3. Hi, maybe a stupid question, grinding a Laburnum stump later today, would breathing in any dust cause any issues? Or am I being over cautious with the whole poisonous thing.
  4. As above, if grass is wet or just that bit too long you don't get a great finish. I have the Viking for a few jobs where it doesn't matter so sometimes just follow operator with the blower if it starts clumping up. Great for the dry weekly jobs though. Had the Husky which looks great but only single speed....fast, ended up shearing the blade boss bolt on long grass on its first outing, so returned it for the Viking which I've had no issues with.
  5. What you got planned for it? Always fancied giving it a go but would just get wound up if I wasn't much good and end up with a pile of firewood
  6. Ok, I've been convinced the Echo is the better saw, now where's the best deal with the smaller 1/4 inch chain ?
  7. 4 days trying to decide on the Echo or Stihl 150 and I'm still no nearer
  8. Well they say you learn something every day
  9. I've bought 2 Piranah chains and each one has a pair of teeth on the same side
  10. New blades now fitted on the CS100, rips the brash out my hand. Result
  11. Hmmmmm, decisions decisions. Echo 2510 or Stihl 150
  12. Old blades off, seller sent me a spanking new set fitted today so will test it in morning. How do you post photos?
  13. Taken cartridge out, just letting the wd40 work its magic on the torx before impact driver comes out tomorrow
  14. Now sat sulking
  15. Will have to get it sorted somewhere next week, anybody used Balmers in Burnley?
  16. Stupidly NO!!! Bought from a machinery shop so didn't have any branches.
  17. Hi, just purchased a Greenmech CS100 18hp, got home and it doesn't chip !!!!!!! The branch just gets hot on the end. Blunt blades? I hope. Any ideas???
  18. Late reply but I use mine for small conifer roots and fence posts. Just cut post down with stihl saw so Jack can be positioned over post with legs or place 3 railway sleeper off cuts to form a bridge over concrete collar and place jack alongside post. Made the stabiliser legs from scaffold poles. Just leave a couple of feet of stump on conifer to wrap chain round. Saved me hours of backbraking digging 👍🏻
