  1. Now that, is a fantastic idea. Certainly keep a lot of crud off chipper
  2. Sounds a cracking machine, what size timber/fork gets snagged, and is it the angle of the fork that is causing the issue? looking to purchase one in a couple of months but a little anxious now.
  3. They're stopping tree works completely I've been told by one of their commercial customers, sure they operate a building firm as well.
  4. They are very robust, if they are the same setup with the knives then a few nails aren't a problem. Not sure I'd make a habit of throwing pallets through it though . Should be a great machine with the chute
  5. Depends on where you use it, used the tracked version for a while a few years back, great in forest/woodland as chip drops on floor. If it's for domestic stuff it's a pain, you're either shovelling chip up or collecting in bulk bags underneath which is a lot of work. Unless they do one with a chute on now. The plus side it had knife type blades on a shaft that take a lot of abuse, rather than standard type blades that don't like dirt/grit. You could just touch them up with a grinder.
  6. Obviously I'll pay for them, did some voluntary work yesterday and had to go off-road with it on a trailer, hopper bouncing around sheared them both clean off and the one on chute has been damaged for a while. Sure the handles are polystyrene
  7. Best place to get the hopper & chute screw clamp handles/knobs for a cs100, need complete sets of bolts, plastic washer, bush and handle x 3
  8. Great vid, but at 2:17 would anyone else have made the cut lower down on the vertical piece? Just looked as though it could have swung behind where cut was made and rigging rope be trapped on lanyard/climber.
  9. I'd get some poison or traps down, only a matter of time before they gnaw through a belt or lectrics
  10. As above, Trust Insurance ?? Ive never had to make a claim from them, but they've been consistent and prompt when collecting my premium ?
  11. As in tractor/trailer or mog? Any more info appreciated
  12. Have a look on "The Wee Chipper Club" page. The cs100 are a great first chipper, easy to maintain and superb aftersale/maintenance advice from the Greenmech guys on here. Don't know how I ever managed without mine. Upgrading to a 150p this year but I'll be keeping the cs100 as it's great for the back garden work, as Maple says, talk the customer into wanting the chip
  13. What's the reason behind NOT using triple blade?
  14. You could be the first investor of the Boris bridge
  15. Depends on your circumstances already, if you were to invest in bigger/better machinery for a business would it earn more money or be sat doing nothing. Pay off a mortgage, invest in a property. Or just sit on it for a rainy day.
  16. Blimey, surprised they hadn't greased brakes up as well. Some muppets out there
  17. I would say the guy who sold it was very clued up and knew you weren't. Hope you get it up and running without breaking the bank, but so far doesn't sound good.
  18. Wouldn't worry me either but there's some right skinflints on here
  19. So, with the impending emission legislation coming in to force soon, what will people be doing when it's time to upgrade/buy your new machine? a, don't care. b, petrol machine and hope there's some sort of duty free red petrol available for such machines. c, diesel machine with diesel particulate filter, and a possible price increase that goes with new technology. Also, will the diesel chippers already out there pre DPF, hold their value or even increase in value due to demand if the brand new product has a large price increase?
