  5. Its good that your thinking about aerial rescue because it should always be on your mind that you might have to do a rescue today. I climb ddrt(double rope) always, be it on a zigzag, spiderjack, blakes or prusik, its all down to preferences and doesn't matter which you pick, if you need to rescue you need to be comfortable with what your climbing on. Where i work we set an aerial rescue line in the tree at all times, and the main climber will set it in suitable place where it is not in the way an will not get damaged by the works going on, its good to keep aerial rescue fresh and practiced every so often so that your not stumped and useless when the real situation occurs, stay safe man[emoji106]
  6. Hi lads just wondering if anyone has figured out what the reason is behind the hockle situation is? I run ddrt zz most days, no hockle even with the built in swivel, but using the SJ2.1 with a swivel on my bridge is making me absolutely mind f****d!! I dont understand why its happening, my rope yesterday was wound up so bad that i had to unattach the SJ from my bridge and let it unwind. Iv tried silly things to reaolve this problem like for example if i spin round 180 once im done i will spin back 180 to where i started haha
  7. I really want to give SRT a go , will probably give it a go when I start up on my own[emoji106]
  8. Thanks for that lads, looks like the rope guide is a must have for climbing ,will be investing in one after the Xmas holidays now and possibly a new helmet which is needed badly haha

  14. Ah the sj3 sounds like the one to have then , iv currently moved companies and the boss is willing to get me what I need to climb comfortable and what suits me not others , I was going to get the sj2.1 but if the 3 is better and has a lock off I'll give that a go, I usually use a cambium saver but I can remember seeing the rope guide so I'll pick that up too . I'm quite minimal too , I have my main line ,strop, saw and strop, and occasionally if I'm doing really big jobs I'll work off a pulley as my anchor ,thanks for your advice man [emoji106]
