  1. My husqvarna battery blower works a treat for clearing the van on a morning. And as it’s quiet I can use it anytime.
  2. 560 and 562 side cases are not the same due to difference in the crankcases
  3. What aload of rubbish! Use the 4t and mix your own oil if you wish. If you use XP you have just mixed what’s in the orange can anyway! The best oil is XP for autotune husqvarna saws but warranty doesn’t specify oil brand that’s not allowed however it can advise best practice. If you won’t run XP then use something half decent but why would you not use good oil in something with £1000 rrp.....
  4. I have used one, it’s a nice saw ideal for general large logging. Obviously doesn’t have the kick that the 72XP does but it’s lighter and more powerful than the 365
  5. Had mine since last year, goes really well a massive step forward compared to 372
  6. no better fuel mix for a modern Husqvarna saw!
  7. Exactly why a pressure test is so important on these. Waste of time repairing them if you haven’t made sure the engine is air tight. However it still surprises me the amount of people who don’t have the correct tools
  8. 572 has a completely new system as does the new 545 brush cutter.
  9. Some interesting theories going on here...
  10. I want one of them, even though it is a stihl, great bit of engineering
  11. It was actually the transfer port cover cap that caused the issue, but this is old news the cylinder has completely changed since!
  12. It’s not a common issue, those with bad seals have failed already the issue has been resolved for several years now
  13. Sounds likes you didn’t have the most helpful dealer? Turned out for the better though.
  14. Don't forget the X cut file gauge! Also the New X cut 3/8 C85 is one hell of a chain!
  15. Run good fuel through it and change the oil regular no reason why it won’t last a long time. As above Loncin engines are pretty good and even if it did go bang they are cheap enough to just stick another on.
  16. Standard it should be a large spline. 560XP is on the smaller spline. You could get an 8tooth sprocket which will just fit without adding a link to the chain and with enough adjustment left on the side cover. Can’t really help with your 404 idea, sounds plausible though if you can get a bar to suit which I’m sure there will be.
  17. Sounds like who ever repaired it didn’t have a clue. Hardly the machines fault but it’s what gives the poduct a bad name.
  18. I think you need to wip the exhaust off and check the piston and cylinder.
  19. You make sure the valve clearances are set correctly for a start. Other than that buy a husqvarna 580BTS and be done with it
  20. In the perfect world it would be best to use 2 cans, but that isn’t really practical. The current version of XP was produced specifically for the new 500 series engines and is the best oil to use for those saws. Keeping temperatures down is key to long life. Now I’m sure it will be a similar story with stihls engines and there top spec oil. I don’t know the make up of there oil but I would assume it to be of very good quality for there engines also. So in short pick one and ensure you use good quality fuel and an accurate mix, don’t be tempted to add that bit extra oil for luck etc. If it was me I would be using the XP as I know that engine needs the best oil.
  21. You would be surprised what is still made, lots of old saws are still made but can not be sold within the EU. 346 is prime example but even older stuff is still produced for regions such as Africa. No new saws will run on the petrol out there but they still have logs to cut and saws still need to be sold!
  22. You would be mad to buy a petrol polesaw now. They are dead! Battery is more powerful lighter and with less vibration. You loose nearly 20% power down a petrol drive shaft and clutch. Have a look at the husqvarna 536liPT5. Great bit of kit use mine all the time. Main benefit over the stihl, you can actually see what your cutting. The stihl is far more bulky as they have had to protect the motor.

    560xp oil pump

What year is your 560? If all the above checks out have a look at the oil hose they used to close up and limit oil supply especially in the cold. There was a re design of the oil hose to prevent it.
  24. I’ve followed this thread with interest, but what is clear to me is it’s just not worth bothering with. It seems a lot of hassle for a sub standard product at the end when you can buy a cheap saw for the same price and not have to assemble it first only to find it doesn’t work. Just my opinion however.
  25. Exactly! Today I used my 572 cutting some large wind blown timber for several hours. Would I choose my older 372 over it. Not a chance it’s a massive step forward ! I’m sure if you picked up similar Stihl machines it would also be night and day. people who say I don’t want any of that electric rubbish probably have modern fuel injected cars or pick ups. It’s the same story you wouldn’t go back to having a carb on your car. I like my classic volvos but my Nice modern one is the one I choose every time ?
