Husqvarna XP or if your on a budget husqvarna low smoke. XP was produced in conjunction with the new 5 series engine along with r and d of the leading Swedish oil company. You want the saw to last then you will unfortunately have to buy some decent oil.

why not ask for a demo of the Husqvarna 545RXT?

560 exhaust will not fit 550. Impossible to retune any software and you can not put 560 software onto a 550 carb it's just not possible. If you wanted to mod the muffler you would need to start with the standard 550 one.

The RXT comes with the Balance XT Harness for an Extra £50 more. To buy the harness on its own is £100 and its the best harness on the market no contest!

unusual to see this screw come out. I would check the others as the earth lead for the coil fastens to the top right one below the inlet manifold at the cylinder base.

Could be a number of things, air leak, split fuel hose, foreign object such as bearing break up, incorrect carb setting. All will be clear to the guy who will have to repair it as long as they know what there doing. As I'm sure you know saws just don't seize for no reason and the evidence will be evident for a competent person.

Hardly any issues with 550/560 now there as reliable as any other saw. . However it depends how good your dealer is and what is fitted to your saw at the minute as to the issues you have.

Has anyone considered that the stihl saws are live when there is a battery in place and no off button? I've heard of a couple of incidents where saws and rope have come into contact because of this. What about the way the battery goes in, it's sort of like a bucket that collects debris? Anybody have any of these issues??

28" bar is the biggest you get with the saw. From next year that is all that is recommended for the 395 however as stated you can run bigger with no real issues. Husqvarna do not supply a bigger bar on 3/8 so you would need to factor in a 404 conversion or another bar else where.

28" is the largest bar recommended for the 395 on 3/8 they are straight swap but you could change to an 8 tooth on 20" the 576 goes very well with this set up. 36" and your into 404 territory and really a 3120 is best placed

The new husqvarna bars are now lasting much longer and the 3/8 x force bars are compeltly re engineered

Yes, There is a new side casing this was 2,3 years back now. Basically added an extra catch on the casing

536li every time, 20m/s chain speed and comes on 3/8 mini. Eco mode also extends the battery life if your only doing small stuff. I have all the husky battery kit and it's fantastic!

Husqvarna XP oil that you buy today not the previous older version was produced with the new 5 series engine and specifically for that purpose by an oil company in Sweden. Your all aware of the power and performance of the 550 560 etc and as a result husqvarna required an oil for the job. Of course there are other oils that also do the job just fine but there are far more that do not. When they say use XP it's not marketing rubbish. You only have to strip an engine to immediately see the signs as to what sort of oil it's had through it. bearing failure on these saws has been known amoung other things and the main cause of the failures is heat. The right oil means less heat and less failures. I'm only speaking of one brand and one engine type but just as an example and I think as long as its of quality and suited to the application then there's no need to worry.

I have both husqvarna ones, basically the battery top handle on a stick. Great machines. Biggest advantage over the stihl you can actually see what your cutting. Stihl have had to add protective coverings around the motor and as a result it makes it a lot harder to see where the bar is. No such problem on the huskys. No expereince of the Oregon

Nice to see someone using the right tools for a change! Most dealers just use a hammer and a selection of sockets..........

Stubby is correct inner 562 will fit 560 but not outer. You drill the cover and bolt though to fit but the 562 cover is different to 560 slightly due to the larger bar pad hence the spacing is different.

yet if they had charged a suitable amount they wouldn't have just lost a customer. Its a fine saw but its not a Mercedes haha

it's a racing engine, higher performance lighter weight more heat means more service that's just how it is. You don't get something for nothing. Put a stronger heavier duty clutch on and loose out or shift a problem else where. I've seen a few do this but it's not every saw. Other saws may not have all the niggles these have but none can touch it on performance. No machines perfect

£120 labour!!! At least dick Turpin wore a mask!! It's a half hour job without the fuel tank. Fitting the wiring and trigger assembly in the new tank handle assembly say another half hour max!
