  1. It’s not yours to alter though. Saying that it’s already been changed onto 3/8 but there’s a reason for that. standard production will be 1/4 so your not getting a true trial anyhow
  2. Completely different machine with a new engine
  3. Exactly my point! Better vetting required I think
  4. What makes You say that?
  5. I don’t think you should be posting images of test samples! It it isn’t auto tune no need on this little engine.
  6. There is no part number for these or the seals. You would need either a scrap cylinder or 2nd hand one
  7. If the brake mechanism is fine and band is ok Make sure you have the bushes in the correct way round. Check the Wear on the crankcase. There is a tiny shim that acts as a wear protector. Don’t loose it as it’s not available as a spare!
  8. Which dealer do you work for?
  9. I’ve a 346 trio brake. Cracking saw but when it comes to choosing between my 550 and 46 I generally take the 550.
  10. The Husqvarna 580bts. If you want production then nothing touches it. Blows a stihl away admitidly it feels a tad heavier but the jobs done quicker
  11. 572XP for me. Best saw I’ve ever used!
  12. Loosen the airbox off . Ease it out of its rubber mounts which will make it easier to get to the two carb screws. This allows A bit more movement. You can completely remove it from the saw if you prefer but there’s no need really. Remove the two fuel lines going to the primer. The primer just unclips you will need to just prise it a little. New one pushes into place. Then just refit. Should only take 5-10 mins (maybe shouldn’t say that sorry everyone) Note when the carb screws are out make sure you get the choke control spring (sits next to the red control lever) back correctly otherwise it won’t work properly. You will know if it’s wrong as it just won’t feel right when you try to put it on choke. There’s no need to disconnect the auto tune connectors but if you do remember to plug the black one back in as otherwise it won’t stop

    365 vs 372

If you’re buying new make your mind up soon.
  14. There has been a lot of carb changes. The latest carb now has a coiled spring instead of the traditional diaphragm which has solved a lot of the throttle lag issues. The auto tune carbs are different from saws of old. With an electrically controled fuel valve as well as the processor bolted on the side they can go wrong and in most cases a new unit is needed. They are still serviceable however. Oil has a lot to do with the life of these saws. If you want it to be reliable then you need good oil. Husqvarna s XP is the best oil for this engine in my experience. I’m concerned as to why the dealer has just fitted a new carb without knowing why? You don’t just chuck parts at stuff. Make sure it has fixed the issue for you. Also make sure they have either cut the fuel line to re route it away the cylinder or fitted the new one that comes in the box. Another little tweak to help hot starting.
  15. Well the 540 has been out a while now tho mark 2 is a big improvement. when the early ones were falling apart and there sent to you from all over then yeah looking back at the jobs Ive done well over a hundred. Compared to volume sold it’s probably a drop in the ocean really. You guys discussed the reliability issues with threads on here. I wasnt been arsey towards anyone it really can be done in that time. I suppose when you work on the same stuff day in day out it becomes second nature
  16. 1-2 hrs!!! You can have that changed in half an hour, 40 mins tops. You don’t have to remove the fuel tank completely. I’ve done hundreds of these you can build the whole saw from the crankcases up in 2hrs.
  17. if you can hang on for a 572 in the new year then I would, it's a cracking saw really quick in the cut and very smooth. I would go as far to say it's the best saw I've ever used actually!
  18. You can no longer get the auto tune unit separate. You would need a new AT12 carb and as above it would need to be programmed with software only available to authorised dealers. Others may have the tool and somehow have access to the firmware but this is very soon about to change! Having said that the auto tune unit is mostly reliable. Does it not even try to fire? Make sure the air gap is good and the wiring connector to the carb is connected properly. I take it it is mechanically sound?
  19. The 525 is cracking little engine! Why would you have a 4 mix?? The 525 engine is also used on the 525 blower 325 long reach hedge cutters and 525RXT brush cutter so if you have the the use for all these you would only need one set of spares for the engine. Makes sense to me! I can't see how it's a pain in the arse I've never had a problem myself not had a problem with the stihl one either to be fair
  20. 560 and 562 are the same engine. Cylinder, piston, carb and coil are all shared between the two. The only slight difference is the crank but the bearings are the same. What your paying for is the 3/8 option. Larger airfilter does help. With these saws it's all about keeping them cool. If you want it to last then run it on XP oil or of course similar but nothing is the same as the XP as that is produced in partnership for these engines!
  21. The husqvarna 450 would suit your needs and is pretty on budget. Can take an 18" bar and is on 325 chain with a 50cc engine with plenty of poke. It's a conventional saw with no auto tune etc. This is what I would buy if buying new and comes with a 1 year plus an extra years warranty if registered which any good dealer would do for you.
  22. Well didn't take long did it..... I know where those pictures were taken
  23. You will have to wait until next year or you could purchase a 562?
  24. It's the new 572 and 565.
  25. I would make sure the blade is blanaced and support cup and protection plate are damage free before spending money. Be worth taking them off and re mounting. It may also just want fine tuning a lot of vibration can be tuned out. They are set from factory for a line head.
