  4. Sounds like a plausible explanation of his character.. not to mention, apart from the Billionaire bit, I'm tempted to say it sounds like how I think... I'm just missing the money part, now, if I could just figure that one out!!!!!!...
  5. As well as most people who's never met him... But as a keen observer of people that might matter I do take the time to study my subject matter... he's not one for letting people get the better of him.. Boris Johnson beware...
  6. I hope this Mark fella has agreed to delete his piece on one handing a chainsaw as a part of this reciprocation.... Or amend his views on the subject... perhaps a qualifier, only very qualified users aught use chainsaws one handed in controlled situations... or somethin like that, otherwise your takin a good coupla of vids down why he's out there calling all an sundry numpties for doin what you consider a perfectly legitimate practice.....

  8. I think Trump will do a half decent job once he gets to know the job... Thats not to say he won't be making a fool of himself as he goes along.. the evidence is there for that so that wont be a surprise... I also see Theresa May has had a chit chat about a meeting as soon as is convenient... Knowing trump, that'll be after he's seen evidence those windfarms near his golf course are being chopped down.. she might be waiting some time!!!!... poor woman..hahahha
  9. Well havin just read the blog, how does someone like Reg not take it personally?... the fella was clearly alluding to people like Reg, "who people look up to"... he was basically calling out Reg on his attitude to one handing a chainsaw... no regards to reg's experience and and safety conscious attitude to his work... And I remember that vid, Reg was obviously winding up the health an safety Nazi's like this fella...
  10. hahaha now that was a good read.....
  11. Yea, look what I got.. see if you can nick em.... But, I'm wondering if they're for puttin the chainsaws in place after loadin up with wood or related equipment after a job... in that regards they don't seem a bad idea..

I don't know whats wrong with you, but you better find somethin to do instead of that soul destroyin routine you're engaged in...... And if I might add, about time you knocked that booze on the head, a waste of good money as well a good way to ruin ones health..

Well I expected I would end up in a robust debate on the subject, what really happened is me talking about my christ myth theory why he stroked his chin and occasionally checked his watch.. I was very disappointed.... Still, the last time we had a run in he started off tryin to convince me what a rotten world we lived in... he soon stopped when I mentioned modern hospitals and free healthcare.... And he never did what I asked him to do, check out Richard Carrier, our last run in he promised to look him up and tell me what he thought, he never did...

I do one church on my round.. but I never mention it in conversation or owt.. Well maybe I did one time when talkin to one of my Jewish clients, see if he had an opinion on the matter or see if it lead to him striking up a conversation on the merits of Judaism over Christianity... In fact the last time I did the church, I found myself arguing with the fella who runs the show... had him held up for near on an hour explaining how all his beliefs were all made up nonesense... Not so sure if I'll be doin it next year:blushing:

doin a good job is what matters, church or otherwise.... If your asking if its worth bragging about though, I can't see it though it might give potential customers confidence you ain't no scam artist... In that respects, it might be a good idea to drop it in a conversation when dealing with new customers...
  19. My thoughts on the subject... Banks and housing, ex 3.5% of income to buy a house turned to 4 then five and even more in the modern age.. Why?.. because these shysters figured that the more money a house was worth, the more banks had on their balance sheet.. Which is to say, the financial services industry welcomes house price inflation, it makes em look like they have more in the bank increasing their stock... more to pay bonus's an stuff like that... Now the real interesting point of the thread, why do people feel worse off when they might well be better off all things considered... Simple, a scientific study found that people who have many choices to make are less happy than people with only one choice... Thus, the simpler the life, the happier one is.... If someone has to make a choice out of five things to do/get, then after making said choice they are then haunted by the fear they might have made the wrong choice after all.... thus their lives might be made miserable... Now if you want to make your life a happier affair all round, then its better to keep things simple and only get what you need..

    Axe/Hatchet

I doubt one hatchet will be much different than another,.. get whats easiest to hand and keep it sharp...
  21. At least we can agree on something....
  22. Oh, just because I think the story is made up don't mean I don't believe its a good story... Or that a lesson or message might not be garnered form it.... Only what I might take from the story might not be what you take.. for me the story is about what one must accept if one believes in the strength of their convictions.. For instance, if you believe something to be wrong, you aught be willing to stand up and be counted and defend what you believe in, and say its wrong.... even if you suffer for doing it, sometimes even to the point of losing ones life in the act of fighting for what is right ... thats what Jesus was doin on that cross.. To be, or not to be: that is the question: Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep; Methinks shakespear put it better than I ever can..
  23. Errr you got it wrong.. during the first century a messianic movement spread like wildfire through the Jewish community in Judea... They expected his arrival at any moment.. hence the sell your belongs and care not for the morrow.. Well he didn't turn up did he, instead of a mighty King they got a mighty good hiding from the Romans... Some of these Jews while awaiting this Messiah even believed they'd been contacted through revelation and spoken to this Massiah.. Its this sort of thing that later got translated into a conversation with a real living human being.. even gave the fella a backstory to fill in the missing biograthy.. In a nutshell, the story of the evolution of christianity..
  24. Well it ain't a secret I said I did the odd tree, and when I joined this forum it got me to thinkin of doin it a bit more, and doin it right.. Went out this spring and got myself a crap load of gear to climb with.. used to just climb freestyle see... Only thing is I haven't got is a chipper, leastways one thats any use... I only want to do tree's here an there.. I've no intention of goin into it full-time... In fact I did a tree job today, chopped a big limb off a tree not far from that pub you did a job on earlier in the year.. the one in Ringly. I'd forgot how scary it is climbing up a tree in the rain, but then I thought of you lot, if a bunch of wossies can do it, so can I LOL..
