  1. Bit late in the day I think he left the building some days back....
  2. Funny because I just red through a few pages of the thread.. apart from good posts here and there it was getting to be about northern monkeys and such.. was that the quality you was looking for?...
  3. I dread to think you have a wife/partner in your life... your conversation is revolting.. did you go to school at all?.. brought up or dragged up...
  4. Who's said this the Deli lama.......
  5. I consider myself a contrarian more than a troll... a troll is a nasty piece of work trying to ruin some ones day... I'm inclined to propose an alternative point of view to spark debate on a subject... I don't set out to piss people off, unlike some of my troll's who seem to get away with murder..
  6. would that be like that tee shirt thread you started, the one you told me to stay off?.. funny how it died when I left it be.... how long would this one of gone on without my contribution to keep it rolling along?... two pages?..
  7. I have a large troll following for sure.... luckily I don't mind half of em, including you these days... but, gotta admit my favorite is Ratty.. even I have to laugh at some of his trolling...
  8. I'll give you some advice, keep your discourse civil and they'll be civil to you..
  9. Know's................................ know's what he's talking about...
  10. Can't you find another thread to get stuck into if this one is not to "your" taste.. I'm about ready to start over on the land thread... perhaps I'll see you there?...
  11. Can we moderate our language Egg's... I don't like to see that sort of thing..
  12. I'll refer you to bigtreedons previous post....
  13. You think so!!!.................... he can't even price a job up.. some boss..
  14. I have no clue?.. Thats rich coming from someone who can't even price a tree job up without begging for advice on a forum.. If you'd the brains you would of asked you're boss for his advice.. why didn't you?..
  15. OK how much is a decent qualified arborist to hire, only it seems to be the going rate going off a few posts on here...
  16. I like George Galloway myself used to listen to him loads at one point... But he does suffer what all religious maniacs suffer from, in his idealized world everyone aught be happy and and content, and if they ain't content its because they're traitors against the cause.. in which case death is the only answer.. Stalin Pol Pt Muhammad and plenty more.. they can't figure out that maybe some people don't like to live in a world designed by them for their own good...
  17. Hire in a climber for the day, 150 200 pound... hire in a chipper for a couple of days... I don't know, 80 to 150.. hire a muck away truck 180 a day.. hire a couple of groundies for a day or two... climber 200 groundies 400 chipper 200 muck away truck 200 stump grinder ?... not sure how much they are lets be generous 200.. So thats 1200 we'll give the climber a bonus if he brings a bunch of saws.... thats thirteen tops.... whats that?.... just over a grand... the homeowner could save himself quite a bit if he could organize his own take down... certainly wont be paying out no three an half grand....... he gets his tree down, the lads get what they want for their services and everyones happy... Now if you're a tree surgeon with all the gear, you'll be competing on price with other tree surgeons.... or in this case a fella with his head screwed on who ain't in the business of being ripped off.. three an half grand indeed....
  18. How can I not worry about that, everyone thinks we're heading into utopia when the truth is we're heading to god knows were...
  19. I can't say I know any tree surgeons personally but might know their company name.. whats his set up called?..
  20. I'm not against Andy supplying me anything. oil in particular.. I was pointing out its on its way out.. which isn't something that fills me with joy I can tell you... in fact its very worrying..
  21. Though that would be nice I like to remain anonymous thank you..
  22. Hope an charity, what do you think they run on?... petrol and not that rip off stuff that costs ten times as much..
  23. I have two mowers Ratty, both top end Honda's.. open the back of my van and its like looking at a stilh catalogue of gardening equipment..
  24. I wouldn't want people to get the wrong Idea Ratty, the gypo's I know are the ones I want to know.. they come down to collect any scrap lying around.. and can you believe it a fella brings me painkillers for my back and one of em comes down for a few of them... I don't buy stolen equipment in fact quite the opposite, though I wouldn't grass I'm not beyond pointing the police in the general direction of thievery.. Been offered cheep chippers in the past and chainsaws, never entertain them...... I could buy a knocked off chipper tomorrow for a quarter the asking price on ebay.. But I'd rather buy a rough second hand one and take a chance than buy stolen tackle..
  25. Well in my defense if I was a tree surgeon I'd invest in kit and have the lot.. I can't justify investing in kit if I only ever do the odd job now can I.. My 12 inch bandit is a TP100 and my arb claw crane is a length of rigging rope given me by someone who worked for the electric board.. I have 8*5 tipping trailer and ten by five caged general purpose trailer.. plus a broken down, down rated Iveco.. on the plus side I have a zigzag and a captain hook.. bet you haven't got a captain hook have you?..... So, yea, considering its a hobby and not a living I think I'm doing alright equipment wise...
