Pursuing a "hard" Brexit could alienate core Conservative voters and cost the party the next general election, a group of Tory MPs has warned. I was attempting to say that RCO and this Mark guy are gonna get nowhere.. Not least as this Mark Birch is so set in his opinion.... The best course of action is for Mark and others like him to keep quiet on the subject... or at least keeping their opinions on two handed chainsaw use as best practice.... steer well clear of talking about experienced climbers occasionally going one handed.. He was an independent when he lost!!!. what planet are you on.. the Tories didn't even put up a candidate... thus he was a Tory in all but name... And the EU wont implode, it'll just change, from a PC bunch of cowards who run it now, to the new European.. Leaders who protect the interests of its citizens and not every third rate migrant who can fit on a boat.... When our new leaders emerge, Europe will go from strength to strength....

Who cares about the supreme court case, thats over before it begins... I'm more concerned about a sitting politician being unseated who previously had a 23000 majority... This is the sort of thing that concentrate's minds in Parliament.. as it has already, Jeremy Corbyn going back to wanting an amendment before invoking article fifty.... Perhaps its havin its desired effect as we speak.... And I wouldn't be surprised if Therisa May isn't hoping for somethin to come along to save her from herself.... Whats at play here isn't just Brexit, but Britain moving away from a two party system.. Both the Tories and Labour are now terrified, I expect things to move in the next few months that will make Brexit an historical anomaly, Brexit is ending get used to it...

What you seem to not get is the Pro Euro voters won't be split.. Labour and the Tories will be.. If half of the Tory voters and half of the labour voters vote tactically and move to the Lib Dems, both parties will be obliterated at the next election... And that election might be in spring, but if it is, its not because May wants one but because internecine warfare has erupted in the Tory Party.... A 23000 electoral margin being overturned is the kind of result that concentrates the mind... scares politicians, gets em to re-calibrate their allegiances... I think Brexit is now dead in the water, even if May is to dumb to get it...

What you should be focusing on is not the result but the tactical voting.. The remainers will pile into the Lib Dems, the Brexiteers split down the middle between Tory and Labour... I'll hazard a guess the next election will be like no other..... and, I might add, the Tories and Labour know it.. but unlike the Lib Dems, they haven't the back bone to vote in our national interests... stuck in the headlights of doin what they think is right...... succumbing to the will of an opinion poll... what a bunch of losers both..

Clutching at straws, more like looking at the evidence... a 23 thousand majority has been overturned on a pro EU ticket... If all the marginal seats the Lib Dems target vote tactically for the same reasons, there might be a hung Parliament... Remember the Tories increased their majority because the English didn't want to see a Labour SDP alliance last time round.. So their majority is built on slender foundations to begin with.... If every constituency's voters who supports remain pile onto a pro remain candidate, things might look totally different when the countings done next time round... And, seeing as labour and Tory will be too scarred to fight on a pro remain ticket, their vote will be split.... theres gonna be a bloodbath I tell you...

23.000 majority overturned by the Lib Dems, a plebiscite on Mays, Brexit means brexit.. Forget the courts, forget the lunatic fringe, one more result like this and Brexit is over.... And I was wondering if the remainders might vote tactical in the next election.. looks like I have my answer.. Therisa May is now caught in a vice, between her own lunatic fringe wanting her to make progress on Brexit and her other MP's now in terrors of their places come the end of the next election... No wonder a couple of leaks seeped out this week, internal polling must be showing whats gonna be on the cards in an election.. Wipeout for the Tories.....

Can't say theres much there I don't agree with.. Now if we can just get back to a Euro USA plus trading alliance... everyone will be happy.. perhaps not the Mexicans, still, that'd be their problem..

Seems to me the realities of the situation might just be dawning on our Donald... It might have even been explained that globalisation is really a very good idea in the long run.. What might be a better idea is Europe and America might be better off with a trade agreement betwixt the two.. Canada Australia and New Zealand might be included.. A Euro America plus trade deal.. I'm sure after a little reflection and expert opinion whispered in his ear that Trump will come to his senses and prognosticate on such great Idea once he settles in... Meanwhile back in Blighty, it might just begin to dawn on the lunatic fringe that leaving Europe is just so much trouble its just to much to be goin on with, and begin to admit the error of their ways.... Oh Boris admitting he isn't opposed to freedom of movement personally and David Davis letting it be known we might have to keep paying in to Europe after all...
