  1. My thoughts exactly, the poor lad will be lucky to reach his teens before he has to nip down the cemetery if he wants to see his father..
  2. Not bad.. not half as good as the Christmas song mind..
  3. I knew a fella once who had a sex change then went back again... didn't even know it was possible.. maybe he only went half way.. The rumour was, he used an iron bar to keep his now defunct member upright if he wanted to do anything with it.... Which brings me to Mick Jagger, I'd of thought he'd of used that thing so often and so recklessly over the years it must look like a diseased shrivelled stump by now, I wonder if he needs scaffold to keep his upright these days?....
  4. Not a bad effort at a Christmas song... 9/10... can't say I ever heard of the singer though...
  5. All they've done is prolong the inevitable... Theresa May has to present a plan satisfying both her lunatic fringe, and her more pragmatic remainers... Once her plan is out, one side or the other will begin to plot her downfall... In the meanwhile, the Lib Dems and others have time to organise their opposition... On another front, Boris Johnson. Its struck me as odd how hardline Boris has become on Europe.. till it dawned on me he's tryin to appeal not to public sentiment but to those few thousand Conservative Members who get to vote for the next Tory Leader... He's playin the long game.... Trouble is, by the time he gets his next chance, theirs gonna be a coalition that cuts the brexiteers feet from under them..
  6. battery operated chainsaws might solve a few problems... finger off accelerator blades comes to a stop... I expect its one of the reasons silky got one... extra margin of safety..
  7. Pursuing a "hard" Brexit could alienate core Conservative voters and cost the party the next general election, a group of Tory MPs has warned. The group - which includes ex-attorney general Dominic Grieve - said "a moderate core" of Tory voters do not want the party to become "UKIP-lite". PM Theresa May must ensure she is not "pushed" into a hard Brexit, they said. It comes as the Lib Dems overturned a 23,015 Conservative majority to win Thursday's Richmond Park by-election. Hard Brexit 'could cost Tories next election' - MPs - BBC News All the ducks begin to line up..... First Corbyn breaking for cover then the Tories... I'm almost tempted to say theres only one thing for it, a spring election to clear the air.
  8. I've better things to be doin than worrying about what people think of me... And whats what you do to with anything, so you sell a bendy stick around the world... I study the world and people in it.. I suggest my time is better spent than you flogging a fishing pole...
  9. Easy lift guy How keen of an observer you may claim to be is extremely biased and jaded IMHO. I think I know the reason for your avatar Go on then, enlighten me on the avatar...
  10. I mean't I don't take run ins seriously, weather that be fulminating or fumigating....
  11. How many times must I say it, I'm a gardener with a rope.. and proud of it:thumbup1: And, as Brexit led directly to the election of POTUS its a related subject... And as a keen observer of our times I like to keep my eye on whats appertaining in the world to see how it might effect us all in some manner... Like Brexit effected your election, like your election will now impact on us all... Not only that, you aught be glad I'm here sharing my opinions on these subjects, I'm an expert in the field... what would you do without me putting you all to rights:thumbup1:
  12. I thought some bright spark would jump on that from the other thread
  13. Errrrr you don't imagine I'm sat here fumigating do you?.... Believe you me I like a light hearted run in as well as the next fella..... no offence taken....
  14. Make that three......
  15. You know when someones lost an argument when they attack your character instead of the argument... two losers above this post....
  16. I was attempting to say that RCO and this Mark guy are gonna get nowhere.. Not least as this Mark Birch is so set in his opinion.... The best course of action is for Mark and others like him to keep quiet on the subject... or at least keeping their opinions on two handed chainsaw use as best practice.... steer well clear of talking about experienced climbers occasionally going one handed.. Its a can of worms thats better left unspoken, kept in the dark, no need to then imply unnecessary accusations... And another thing, how is it that someone who spends 90% of his time cutting grass is on here defending climbers for their work practices?.... I must be mad:thumbup1:
  17. He was an independent when he lost!!!. what planet are you on.. the Tories didn't even put up a candidate... thus he was a Tory in all but name... And the EU wont implode, it'll just change, from a PC bunch of cowards who run it now, to the new European.. Leaders who protect the interests of its citizens and not every third rate migrant who can fit on a boat.... When our new leaders emerge, Europe will go from strength to strength....
  18. Zac Goldsmith lost, thats all you need to know...unseated resigned a mere technicality..
  19. Who cares about the supreme court case, thats over before it begins... I'm more concerned about a sitting politician being unseated who previously had a 23000 majority... This is the sort of thing that concentrate's minds in Parliament.. as it has already, Jeremy Corbyn going back to wanting an amendment before invoking article fifty.... Perhaps its havin its desired effect as we speak.... And I wouldn't be surprised if Therisa May isn't hoping for somethin to come along to save her from herself.... Whats at play here isn't just Brexit, but Britain moving away from a two party system.. Both the Tories and Labour are now terrified, I expect things to move in the next few months that will make Brexit an historical anomaly, Brexit is ending get used to it...
  20. What you seem to not get is the Pro Euro voters won't be split.. Labour and the Tories will be.. If half of the Tory voters and half of the labour voters vote tactically and move to the Lib Dems, both parties will be obliterated at the next election... And that election might be in spring, but if it is, its not because May wants one but because internecine warfare has erupted in the Tory Party.... A 23000 electoral margin being overturned is the kind of result that concentrates the mind... scares politicians, gets em to re-calibrate their allegiances... I think Brexit is now dead in the water, even if May is to dumb to get it...
  21. Labour insiders are warning of an electoral crisis as they lose votes to Lib Dems in pro-Remain urban southern seats and Ukip mops up support in its northern heartlands. Chuka Umana, Labour’s former leadership hopeful, last night admitted there were now “no safe seats”, according to The Times. Allies of party leader Jeremy Corbyn also admitted Brexit “unleashed a dynamic that none of us quite understood” – with voters now defining themselves as pro or anti-EU. Oh dear, what must Therisa May be thinking right now, seein as she's gonna be caught in the same trap...
  22. I'd hold your horses on that score.... fitting a round peg in a square hole is about to be attempted...
  23. I said Cameron would be gone in the morning he went,,, Everyone in the country felt Boris had a shot at the leadership, I said he was gonna stand down..... well I didn't say it but I did know it..... think about that.. Me and Boris and half a dozen others knew what he would do..... because I know what I'm talking about on these things.... As to Europe. think of the spurred wife, do you think she's gonna act rationally?... no not really is she.. Even if it means economic ruin at least the husband will be dragged down with her...... All this can be avoided if only we come to our senses and admit we might of been hasty in tryin for a divorce....
  24. I can't see why you're so surprised on that score, after all I warned you what would come next... Did you expect the Europeans to be thankful for trying to wreck their project?...
  25. What you should be focusing on is not the result but the tactical voting.. The remainers will pile into the Lib Dems, the Brexiteers split down the middle between Tory and Labour... I'll hazard a guess the next election will be like no other..... and, I might add, the Tories and Labour know it.. but unlike the Lib Dems, they haven't the back bone to vote in our national interests... stuck in the headlights of doin what they think is right...... succumbing to the will of an opinion poll... what a bunch of losers both..
