  1. Are you havin a laugh? No wonder you talk shite if thats your news corporation of choice. (I struggled with the word news there as thats really not the what the beeb produce) Lets leave this one at the border kev, were never goin to agree. I will say this though, when i served in the forces i got into many fights with english lads and EVERY time my accent was used against me in a derogatery way.? On the other hand all my english mates backed me up.Like i said before its not all english who are bigoted just some, but that can be applied to the scottish side of the border too!
  2. Stihl raintechs a better than decent jacket.Had mine for god knows how long and has held up well. Couple of wee issues,1. I dont wear it unless its pissin it down 2. The velcro adjustable cuffs will eventually rip off and 3. Its not very warm so a fleece underneath will be required in the colder months. Im pretty sure its got a tuck away hood but i pulled it off and chucked it too fuck as i wear a helmet(as most arb types do) so a hood in my opinion is pointless. Id recommend it and for sure its better value than the husky equivalent which is fuckn silly money!
  3. That opinion would depend on the individuals experience with the nation in question.
  4. Your sayin you justify your opinion on wikipedia findings rather than how you find the scots you've interacted with? Hmmm... Your a bigot kev and the fact that you've quoted an online search to "back up" your anti scottish feelings says alot about you. Im not surprised, you've been indoctrined into these thought patterns from a young age to think a certain way.I dont blame you,its been the way of things for centuries, just as we scots are"programed"to look at the english with contempt and blame you for all our woes, when thats just not true. As for groundkeeper willie ,replace the words scots with english and its just about right.Ive been to many countries where the distain for the english is apparent, say your scottish and a broad smile appears. Of course everyone else must be wrong and the english are right...
  5. Sounds like most urban tree guys. Forestry guys can wedge a big spruce over in 3 swings... Very impressive!
  6. I doubt they ll care. The problem lies with the way or southern cousins see everyone else as lesser than themselves,an opinion bred into them by ancestors who did actually conquere the world and make Britain rule the waves. Personally i tend to judge people on how i find them rather than bias my opinion on where they were born. Recently ive seen a rise in the anti scottish feeling dawn safff,(more than usual),because some of us scots want independance. They see a pro scottish vote as an anti english vote which just isnt true.We would prefer self rule not because we have any anti english feeling but because we feel we can run our country better than any etonian fuckwit 300 miles away ever could.
  7. Dildo... and before bolam asks no i dont know what it tasted like ?
  8. Why wasnt the rope taught? Why was a fanny who cuts through a hinge doing the felling? Why was he felling against the lean? Why am i not a millionaire with a 12 inch knobler? ???
  9. Yeah i cant remember using wedges on my small trees course either. Defo need em for big trees. You'll use the winch too obviously. We went through about 6 shear pins and the instructor wasnt best pleased the course providor had issued a pretty poor example of tirfor ? As for wedges,i use the plastic stihl ones, although i dont do much forestry felling, mainly urban tree work so a pull rope is utilised more than wedges
  10. Are you talking about small tree felling course? Cs32 is large tree felling. Stere High lift wedges are good or you can just put 2 small plastic wedges together as high lift. You will definetly need wedges whatever make you chose..
  11. Thats one helluva circuit! Inspirational guy
  12. I ll help dig it with my bare fucking hands
  13. Entirely understandable considering our southerly companions penchant for the condecening attitude. Just to make things clear, heres a little dependancey debunker. Scotlands public sector revenue has been greater year on year than we receive via the block grant. Lamens terms (for the knuckle drggers reading this) Scotland subsidises England. If Scotland is such a drain on english finances why hasnt the UK government sanctioned a second independance referendum to get us leeching jocks off the books...
  14. Im not paranoid, its a fact, backed by your own wording "All dependant colonies" Care to explain dependant colony kev?
  15. Anyone notice just how few conservative conference attendees stayed for the scottish tory Mps section? Thats why scotland has an Snp administration, the tories dont give a fuck about the north. Londoncentric politics
  16. Just buy 4 rototech chains and bin em when the jobs done. Rototech chains are pretty cheap anyway
  17. Dont really see this as an issue if im being honest.Ive never came across, read, seen or heard of this happening. Odds are its more probable to cut your rope with a saw or silky(which i have) than have your rope unshealth!
  18. We went to auschwitz in 2nd year in high school.Even at age 14 it hits you hard.Very strange, eerie atmosphere at that place....
  19. Copenhagen is great for a long weekend, tivoli gardens beung a big christmas attraction or Brussells if you like amazing food, architecture and wandering around a beautiful city.
  20. Yeah as above, the TO's i know would be happy to have that dealt with (by photo evidence) now its on the deck.
  21. What? No giant bubbleman? Disapointed Reg...?
  22. Twas most superlative. I doff my cap to you young man...
  23. Go to the gym or start pulling your pudding! Either way you'll get bigger arms. Or take the easy option...tarzan swing. Senseable answer 2:1 with little prussik and a biner,or a rope grab, hand ascender etc... Pudding pulling is best though...
  24. 13-15" bar my good man,or get it too spud and it will pull an 18 inch bar....effortlessly
  25. Best thing about kitchens was the people.I worked with some crazy bastards that made me laugh... If you do get a 346xp,and i really really hope you do,it will sour your opinion of newer saws im afraid as 346xp's are one of the great old school ground saws.
