  1. This thread or another Mick as everyone is talking about the Stihl ones and not these sordin one's?? I dunno, I’m a bit lost now tbh.
  2. I dunno Mark, I think I’d like it. Humans are very adaptable.
  3. If you check the thread you’ll find some peeps already have them.
  4. Nearest I came to urban living was a flat in Wisborough Green for 5 years. Shop across the green, 2 good pubs within 150 yards. Apart from that it was on a farm with my parents or here, middle of nowhere. Paris, London or the like for a few years would be great.
  5. Very true.
  6. No, planted, watered for the first summer, then trimmed twice a year.
  7. I have never lived in a city, so I’d like an idea of what that’s like. A nice part of course, Hampstead or somewhere fashionable where I might bump into Fiona Bruce or Lily James or Gemma Arteton.
  8. Be patient, make sure they don’t dry out this first summer. I planted maybe 120 round my house, didn’t lose 1. Current picture.
  9. Nice work. 3 climbers! Was anyone sighting it (checking shape from the ground) or did everyone just get on with it?
  10. My laurel hedge hasn’t started sprouting yet, so don’t worry.
  11. How long is a piece of string? At the bottom end 3 pieces of ply <£100 At the top a professional job, countless thousands.
  12. Got it working now. I think I’m in a position to review all of the arb grabs once I’ve used this for a week or so. Fixed, knockabout and rotator. IMG_2055.MOV
  13. Nurse! He’s got out of bed again and is wandering round the ward.
  14. Bit uncalled for wasn’t it? No need to call him that!
  15. Of course, one of the reasons people can be cheaper than you is that you’re too expensive.
  16. How much were they Chris?
  17. I think there is a tendancy to believe anyone cheaper than you is a cowboy or a busy fool and anyone more expensive is a rip-off merchant. (not related to the ash or ironmike btw) I have been in trouble with clients where there is limited space to remove material. Suddenly you realise that in order to get the stuff through the doorway/round the passage you’re going brush the walls/doorframe. But to get the job done in a day you need to get a decent armful out every time. So every journey you run the risk of damage, and you also have to watch the groundy who doesn’t care that much (sometimes!)
  18. In order of preference. Germany. Scandanavia. Japan France/Italy/Uk US (in spite of the stupid screw threads) After that it’s pot luck.
  19. Let me explain my post Stubs…
  20. Strange how this thread fizzled out. I mean a few Putin/Russia fan boys might be rethinking their positions, or maybe not.
  21. You’ll laugh about it someday, just not today!
  22. Honestly, if that is all staying in there, it’s a days work for two guys, max. Easy rigging. Worst bit might be metal in the trunk. £1500 is bonkers.
  23. According to this guy, yes.
  24. Nightmare fuel!
  25. Lawn is taking a bit of a pasting there!
