  1. I have always found that saying a bit trite and simplistic. (Profit/turnover saying) Haven’t got round to finishing the rest of the podcast. Your sales training come though….in a good way! Your business model works for you, for the moment. What was the famous Mike Tyson saying, everyone’s got a plan, till they get punched in the face. Good stuff though!
  2. How much less petrol you use as well.
  3. Any tree firm that aspires to have any sort of future needs powered assistance. They're right up there with chippers these days.
  4. Never meet your heroes.
  5. So you’re the guy he’s interviewing? (Got halfway so far, interesting stuff)
  6. I have to take issue with this back thing. Climbing around in a tree is fine even therapeutic for your back. Lifting heavy wood isn’t, and worse still is driving a tractor or especially a digger all day.
  7. I agree with much of what you say. If there is a (theoretical) tree to take down then it’s a €1000 job and most prices will be there or thereabouts. You could pull off €2000 on the tree occasionally but not on a consistent basis. How quickly you can do it and move onto the next €1000 tree is where the key to executive washroom lies.
  8. This one? I’ll do it for the wood!
  9. If you don’t think you’ll get the big job at a good price then you won’t, it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. Last few years I’ve secured some nice big TDs with really good money on them. You have to have the gear to do it quickly and convince the client they’re in good hands. I don’t want to come across as a BS merchant, but don’t be defeatist about bigger work, do your sums and stick to your guns. Clients don’t tend to go for the lowball offer on really big/dangerous/logistical nightmare work, they go for the guy they think will do it right. My 2 cents.
  10. It was all made up by the Mail. She won’t sue for libel because it’s not worth the effort/expense to sue the Murdoch empire ( or Rothermere or whatever) Its blown up in their faces anyway. Is there any footage of the licentious leg crossing? Of course not, bollocks of the highest order.
  11. Who is saying they overheard her bragging about it?
  12. I would have thought your first port of call would be the peeps that tuned it up recently.
  13. I mentioned this before, it was David Humphries who pointed it out on here but it’s clear once you understand. Ivy doesn’t engulf the crowns of living trees, it stays just underneath. How or why I know not.
  14. You’re missing the point Kevin. It didn’t happen.
  15. I think he got addicted to the drama and attention.
  16. Don’t the tip/recycling centre take them? They do here.
  17. He’s been ‘escorted to the door’ of the forum a few days back, so he won’t see this.
  18. It’s Daily Mail bullshit. Starmer is doing ok so they’re targeting Angela Rayner.
  19. Where have you been reading this?
  20. The underpricing thread. You say to them ‘I charge €xxxxx per day for my team, is that out of your range or are we there or thereabouts?’
