  1. Ok, found the second set of pics. What about this though? Could both sorts be in the pile?
  2. Nobody likes a smart arse! Where do those pics come up? I’ve only got pics on post #1 I take your point.
  3. Thé growth rings on the OPs pics are much bigger.
  4. SC that young is usually smooth barked, not teaching you to suck eggs though.
  5. Thé only other wood that matches the bark is walnut. That bat hole or whatever doesn’t look like oak to me. Just throwing it out there.
  6. Never seen such a split in opinion from peeps who know their stuff.
  7. With a gun to my head, I’d say willow.
  8. More context please, pictures etc.
  9. It’s not like it’s an obvious thing to do. I’m pretty dumb, but even I wouldn’t do that.
  10. Challenging tree Don. As for the temperatures, my old boss used to say ‘you can always work yourself warm’ Nice hinge as well, good pics.
  11. Dunno the numbers these days, been 25 years. But you know what I mean. Use of a saw in a tree and rigging.
  12. It’s a good question, I would say all the tickets up to rigging.
  13. @Timberwolf Official They should be able to help. If you can wait till Monday.
  14. It won’t get out of hand if it’s trimmed every few years, what’s so hard about that? It’s literally our job. But no, that’s not in the program, the arbnazis want to fell anything that doesn’t conform and to fill our gardens with boring bloody rowans, cos their lecturer at arb college told em to.
