  1. GM CS is under 4.5k plus the vat realistically. Ok it's not a shredder but you can chuck all sorts of clean material through it. I used to even put garden waste in just chuck wood in also.
  2. Think that'll just annoy operators! Does it only power down once it has finished with material or just when operator walks away?
  3. Also lets hope VOSA don't pull the rep over for his strapping down!
  4. it could be a good opportunity but in that last video a GM CS100 will cope with all of that and still rattle through the timber no bother. Whats the RRP, maybe ask if they are happy to give you a demo unit on sale or return. Nice low risk and no capital commitment. If they want to shift units then they are going to have to be flexible. I know the business model and the customer base we are into it wouldnt be for us, however think you maybe into your domestic/large house/estate type customer more than us which it may suit well.
  5. Kidd is built here in Devizes again now
  6. Yep, get a 250hp tractor, 50k box and air brakes towing a fully loaded HGV trailer on red hauling commercial products is bound to be pulled up! No difference than having a Lorry unit on the front really.
  7. GreenMech can do flywheel balancing, however be a pallet/courier job for you. Normally bit big for your average engine machine shops, what chipper is it out of?
  8. Turnaround can be same day if required. Get them posted to us on an AM and we'll have have them back on a courier PM. 24 hour turnaround is usually standard, if any local customers drop them off can do a while you wait with a free Coffee
  9. Sorry I didn't spot the reply. This is a set of A340 blades a did the other day, he had metal enter the chipper and had some light damage. Took about hour to do these. We can grind a pair for you with return postage at £40 plus vat
  10. Arbor cut had a 14hp last time I was there.
  11. Agreed, I had this last year... One year old Isuzu Dmax, driving home from work was a sarcen stone in the road which must of come off of a lorry, saw it last minute, swerved out of the way but caught the rear wheel, tyre had a massive gash through it. An inflatable can wasn't going to help me, so I rang my old man who came and picked me up. Comes as an optional extra at the cost of around £250.
  12. I know ag contractors that now only run on white due to doing mixed work of hauling and field work because of the grey areas
  13. On the Kubota G2160 we just carried out a routine service, however the input shaft seal on the deck gearbox had popped out and had been like it for some time... this is the oil we drained from the box. Had luckily not damaged any gears but all bearings were shot, rebuilt with new bearings and seals. Has a Autoguide 48" mulch deck fitted from new on this one.
  14. Had a customers JD GX355 in for service, wouldnt run on collection, its used for cutting around the farm estate etc. Collected along with their Kubota G2160 for service A couple of people had looked at the JD already which always makes you slightly nervous... firstly checked for diesel and the supply to the pump was weak, removed the fuel lines and blew them out which improved the supply slightly. Next job was to clean the tank, we have a fine filter funnel we drained it through and removed all of this. Ran like a dream afterwards! although we noticed there was a large amount of engine movement which after investigation had a loose engine mount bolt and another one snapped off in the block. Not ideal, engine out job. Wear visable where it has been like this for some time
  15. Take a look at the GeeenMech CS100. Plenty of videos on YouTube.
  16. Pete, Has this replaced an existing dealer? I'm assuming they will be butting up against Global and THW? Ash
  17. Can post them to us and we'll grind them.
  18. Wish Alastair well from me Pete. Top bloke.
  19. Think everyone's wants are different. I had a customer replace a big Vermeer with an Arb130. Fed up of something big and logged the decent size stuff.
  20. There is a category for mowing machines. You can register for daytime only so no need for lights. What mower is it? Do they do it road legal from new? If so you may be able to get a certificate of newness from the manufacture which will help getting it registered at DVLA
  21. Most 1505's are around 33hp but I've seen them in commercial mowers upto 37/38hp. Some 'Inlines' are 4 cylinder. Our new Jensen A530 750kg is a 1105 turbo 3 pot. I've found the turbo lumps get back on the boil quicker than a normally aspirated unit which in turn gets the no stress recovered quicker and chipping again. But some people prefer a calmer NA 4 cylinder. Horses for courses
  22. Weight isn't often just cut from the chassis either. Most 750kg units if Kubota will run a V1105 over a V1505. Same HP but a lighter 3 cylinder turbo opposed to a NA 4 pot as found in say a ST6 Forst. I worked for a GM main dealer and they are big in the 750kg market, never personally experienced a failed chassis or severe structural malfunction.
