  1. Modern touch buttons fitted on ours
  2. Timed shaft / gearbox driven feed rollers for higher grip on handling material
  3. A couple of pics to wet the appetite Good access to engine and flywheel
  4. Feel very nice to use, a nice upgrade from a conventional mushroom button.
  5. Give Arborcut a bell. Robert Ghinn is your man. If you are buying a used Jensen we are now your local dealer. But we also look after all makes and models no bother
  6. I understand your point, I had a Rodeo for 5 years then a DMax for 2 years covering 100k in the 2 years. For example I found I couldn't put a decent tool box in the pickup securely, had a cantilever box in the rear footwells. I now have a Disco commercial and the snap on tool chest is back in, carrys all my gear, securely and un noticed. I moved house and used my old DMax, moving things like coffee table, dinning table, bed, wardrobe wasn't much good as the bed isn't big enough, least with say an freelander/Xtrail or Audi A6 can fold seats down and get bigger things in.
  7. Personally wouldn't say 170hp is much for a 2.5 twin turbo. Boost levels are fairly mild, manufactures are pulling that from 1.6-2.0 TD engines nowadays.
  8. I'm a Dmax fan because it ticks boxes in the work department above the competition. But at the same time I find pickups very impractical. In many ways you can get more in an average estate car. They aren't great motorway cruises, don't carry 5 people very well and aren't secure (in the back) They do lots of things 'ok' But for play Nissan or VW for a more refined play vehicle. Does it actually need to be a pickup? I'd be inclined to get away from the cheaply built/ 1940's leaf spring design and step Into a Shogun/Pathfinder/Xtrail
  9. Ok with garden stuff if not to 'earthy' grass cuttings and leaves will just come out the other side. Found if lots of green material feed some nice wood in with it to give it something to work on. No has to be debris free.
  10. GM CS is under 4.5k plus the vat realistically. Ok it's not a shredder but you can chuck all sorts of clean material through it. I used to even put garden waste in just chuck wood in also.
  11. Think that'll just annoy operators! Does it only power down once it has finished with material or just when operator walks away?
  12. Also lets hope VOSA don't pull the rep over for his strapping down!
  13. it could be a good opportunity but in that last video a GM CS100 will cope with all of that and still rattle through the timber no bother. Whats the RRP, maybe ask if they are happy to give you a demo unit on sale or return. Nice low risk and no capital commitment. If they want to shift units then they are going to have to be flexible. I know the business model and the customer base we are into it wouldnt be for us, however think you maybe into your domestic/large house/estate type customer more than us which it may suit well.
  14. TW 150 blades are about an inch!
  15. Kidd is built here in Devizes again now
  16. Yep, get a 250hp tractor, 50k box and air brakes towing a fully loaded HGV trailer on red hauling commercial products is bound to be pulled up! No difference than having a Lorry unit on the front really.
  17. GreenMech can do flywheel balancing, however be a pallet/courier job for you. Normally bit big for your average engine machine shops, what chipper is it out of?
  18. Turnaround can be same day if required. Get them posted to us on an AM and we'll have have them back on a courier PM. 24 hour turnaround is usually standard, if any local customers drop them off can do a while you wait with a free Coffee
  19. Sorry I didn't spot the reply. This is a set of A340 blades a did the other day, he had metal enter the chipper and had some light damage. Took about hour to do these. We can grind a pair for you with return postage at £40 plus vat
  20. Because of damage?
  21. Arbor cut had a 14hp last time I was there.
  22. Agreed, I had this last year... One year old Isuzu Dmax, driving home from work was a sarcen stone in the road which must of come off of a lorry, saw it last minute, swerved out of the way but caught the rear wheel, tyre had a massive gash through it. An inflatable can wasn't going to help me, so I rang my old man who came and picked me up. Comes as an optional extra at the cost of around £250.
  23. I know ag contractors that now only run on white due to doing mixed work of hauling and field work because of the grey areas
  24. On the Kubota G2160 we just carried out a routine service, however the input shaft seal on the deck gearbox had popped out and had been like it for some time... this is the oil we drained from the box. Had luckily not damaged any gears but all bearings were shot, rebuilt with new bearings and seals. Has a Autoguide 48" mulch deck fitted from new on this one.
  25. Had a customers JD GX355 in for service, wouldnt run on collection, its used for cutting around the farm estate etc. Collected along with their Kubota G2160 for service A couple of people had looked at the JD already which always makes you slightly nervous... firstly checked for diesel and the supply to the pump was weak, removed the fuel lines and blew them out which improved the supply slightly. Next job was to clean the tank, we have a fine filter funnel we drained it through and removed all of this. Ran like a dream afterwards! although we noticed there was a large amount of engine movement which after investigation had a loose engine mount bolt and another one snapped off in the block. Not ideal, engine out job. Wear visable where it has been like this for some time
