  1. You don't think that Redwood are extremely worried about their business without the income of the Jensen product? Personally I don't think the Forst is putting money in the bank right now for them. Building a brand, running around doing updates/warranty, going the extra mile to support the brand, future R&D etc doesn't come cheap. Redwood moved 5 miles north to a larger premises end of last year and now are stripped of the Jensen products. I know I would be a worried man if a Director of Redwood. The horses mouth is Jensen themselves and the dealer structure is clear on their website. While on the topic GA Groundcare ordered their Jensen A530 demo unit today
  2. I think most people understand that and how it used to be. What supporting data do you have that this is to continue. The Jensen website is pretty clear on the new setup. Dealernetwork
  3. Be interested to hear you elaborate on why. I used a TW190 tracked today with some large silver burch and have used the Arb190 albeit the trailed version. Found the stress kicks in earlier on the GM but the GM has a nice wide infeed which is better than the TW.
  4. I think it's much more than a bit of drive by advertisement. The image of your company is raised, your customers will think you have a lot of pride in your work and your in the business long term. The image of turning up in a plain white transit tipper to a new customer initially puts you in the same league as a Pik*y Here one day, gone the next! I've noticed a trend with sign writing and age in all most trades, upto 50 your average self employed man has sign writing, chases the business etc. Above 50 and the next van change normally is unwritten and happy with the work they get in from steady customer base.
  5. Dealernetwork Here. GA Groundcare is now a dealer covering the southwest of the UK. We are in the realms of ordering our demonstrator. If you require any warranty work, service, parts or sales and are based in the South West give us a call. 01380 828863 / 07881 027599 [email protected]
  6. To be honest a small premium gravity fed chipper would out perform that. A little GM CS100 18hp would be a better option! You buy a new one at say 4.5k and it's still worth 2.5k in a few years time if you look after it. Costing less than your chinky offering here.
  7. No resale value, no parts support, warranty? Probably not genuine Honda. It'll cost you more in the long run!
  8. Depends on how you look at it. Outright cash then yes, however if the lease/HP goes against the business and can be offset this will reduce the amount payable. Plus a potential large residual on this specific model. For example 22k plus vat, 100% tax allowance, purchase/ own the vehicle after the contract. Vehicle potentially worth most of it's original selling price. I'd say a good investment.
  9. Nice! Is that the last of the TD5's? Ash
  10. Yeah that is crazy money. The 90 hardtop is 22k plus vat which would be what I'd purchase for the business
  11. Simple website along the doors of the discovery.
  12. Just sign wrote our service van. Saved a lot by knowing what we wanted and fitting them myself on a Sunday. Cost was around £120 from memory. Will be Jensen decals added shortly due to being a dealer.
  13. How cheap? TD4 freelander isn't bad, the reputation is more due to the K series petrol engines

  15. Hi all, As there's a lot of Land Rover love on here thought I would ask opinions on the Heritage model due out in August to mark the end of the Defender production. Underneath I believe it to be similar to the rest of TDCI engined Defender's but externally is a take on the Series. I think it looks really smart, will fit my business needs well (will replace my Disco TD5 commercial) and potentially may not depreciate atall! Looking at putting one against the business on a lease/HP. It could be a good investment and in 5 years will be worth more than a 5 year old Disco 4 commercial. (This is another option to replace my TD5 commercial with a new 4
  16. I've got a Honda HRG536 self drive in our workshops which we need to get ready for sale. £175 including a service.
  17. It's an amazing place and I think it was my favourite national park when I did a west America road trip last year
  18. Opinions on the heritage 90 available In August...? Considering chopping the Disco Commercial TD5 in for one.
  19. I'd pull the pads out, clean everything up, use copperslip on assemble and bleed the whole system. Normally if you can pump the pedal up it's air in the system.
  20. In most vehicles the brake servo runs off vacuum pressure and requires the engine running.
  21. There's a few models inside the SXG range. SXG 216 - low dump only SXG323 'Garden' low and high dump available SXG323 'homologated' low and high dump available SXG326 'Garden' low and high dump available SXG326 'homologated' low and high dump available. Garden is as it's sounds and only off road only. Homologated comes with proper handbrake, lights, number plate etc. You can also have a flip up floor on the SXG high dump enabling cut and drop. Basically the floor swings up and clips up against the back of the collector. Grass goes up into the collector as usual then drops onto the floor. Easiest way to know this is all flip up floor models have a rubber curtain around the bottom of the collector to stop any flying debris.
  22. Have you seen how many front weights are fitted from Factory on the front of the new JD?! The COG when tipped is too far back, also the lift arms are very thin. Lift the collector up and rock it side to side. You'll see what I mean! However it'll sell because mr city boy who has a nice bit of land can tell everyone he's just bought a John Deere. Like what farmers have....
