  1. Sorry I can’t help with your tip sites but we are a chipper dealer based 30 mins from Bath by Melksham if you need any service, maintenance or blade sharpening. Ash.
  2. Delivering a customers new PTO chipper and his old tractor back yesterday...
  3. Good evening all, Just a quick post to say we are the main GreenMech chipper dealer for Berks, Glos & Wilts and we have just appointed a mobile service engineer who lives in Reading to serve the Berkshire area... (Hope this post doesn't break any rules) Many thanks Ashley.

  4. If there is ever any signs of water ingress (oil turned white) then change directly.
  5. Do you mean the main flywheel itself? What is actually wrong with it? The nose shaft is replaceable if the bearings have worn the shaft and the alloy fins (if later flywheel) are replaceable. Machine shops will be able to rectify any damage and balance it for you. Should be "serviceable" in one form or another...
  6. I would be very worried as an arborist with the cost of overall ownership on the Forst. The resale value seems to be non existent with no used market and they are often slightly more expensive initially (probably to help cover their huge marketing campaign and show presence). The Forst fans will say they feed much quicker as the rollers are set to spin faster but with the other leading manufactures still running the same hp Kubota diesel engines powering the flywheel it cannot really handle / exit the discharge chute *much* quicker (pulley ratios and flywheel speed aside for one second).
  7. It doesn't have the 1505 in the quadchip.
  8. Do you disengage the flywheel on start up then? It isn't a must..
  9. If you are looking for new Jamesd, New Forest Farm Machinery are the GreenMech dealer for Hampshire.
  10. TH White used to be.. They haven’t been since May and we have taken the area over. We are based in the centre of Wiltshire near Melksham. If you do need any spares or advice our contact number is 01380 828863 or my mobile number is 07881 027599 (anytime)
  11. Hopefully you aren’t referring to us?
  12. We charge £20 a pair plus vat and are your local GreenMech dealer based in Wiltshire, I see you are in Stroud. We can get them picked up at some point when your way or you can post? Thanks Ash
  13. Not used or worked on the major one specifically but I assume it’ll have a bunch of wind paddles on the rotor to generate some air flow like all other flail collectors. Are these fitted? Did you purchase it second hand? Grab a picture of the rotor. What tractor is it on? Enough HP and running at 540 not 540E? If you aren’t getting enough RPM to the machine it won’t be spinning the flail fast enough to generate the air to flow the cut grass into the hopper. Drive belts nice and tight?
  14. The 150P GreenMech is a cracking tool.
  15. Must of been a straight swap if the QC160 is advertised for 12.5K? I keep reading the ST6P as "Step"! Bit like the Jensen A530 reads "Asbo"
  16. Maybe they have wider doors in France
  17. Looks a bit pointless?
  18. The money you would spend on renting a yard and hiring in a chipper would easily finance a nice little machine.. Plus then there is the unproductive labour of handballing brash, stacking and occasionally chipping it up with a hire machine. - Time where he could be out on chargeable jobs?
  19. I think once you invest in a small chipper you will naturally gain more work. The CS100 is the daddy of small chippers... Put the kettle on and find the wee chipper club thread on here and have a browse. If you do buy a GM CS100 and sell it in 3 years you'll get 75% of your money back as resale value is amazing. Spent 2.5k on a brand new lesser product and in 3 years time it'll be worth next to nothing. Spend the extra money, get three years warranty, work with a decent machine and have cheapest cost of ownership of them all.
  20. Safetrak 19-28's are a great machine with an excellent tracking system. One for 10k will have done plenty of work mind and will be showing signs of wear especially if has been on a rail contract. That said if you find one and it tracks well, legs all work correctly, flywheel end engine is running smoothly with no real signs of damage around the chip chamber then you couldn't ask for more for your money
  21. I wouldn't get too hung up on throughput figures as it is a kg measurement, many variables.. Even if you are looking at figures on paper it is still over a third of a transit load extra per hour! Quite an amount really.
  22. On the GreenMech front there is several options on sub 750kg.. In the Arborist range you have... Arborist 130 - 23hp petrol, 6x9" capacity, braked chassis, adjustable drawbar, locking hitch, led lights etc Arborist 150P - 37hp fuel injected petrol, 6x9" capacity, braked chassis, adjustable drawbar, locking hitch, led lights etc Arborist 150 diesel, available in 26hp N/A or 34hp turbo diesel, both Kubota, 6x9" capacity, braked chassis, adjustable drawbar, locking hitch, led lights Then you have the Quadchip 160, 34hp Kubota turbo diesel, turntable, braked chassis etc. 3 years warranty on the whole range Get one on a demo, you will be impressed!
  23. We have just part exchanged an 2014 Arb 130 MK1 with approx 500 hours on. Will be fully serviced and complete with some dealer warranty.
  24. Advantages of the GreenMech 130 over the Timberwolf TW160 6 x 9 inch infeed, Full bonnet, engine isn't subject to the weathers like on the 160, a full bonnet helps reduce noise Self tensioned drive belts Braked chassis with hand brake. When your chip wagon is on its weight limit with a full load you will be glad the 700kg chipper being towed has brakes! Adjustable height draw bar Locking hitch LED Lights Full three years hours unlimited warranty.
  25. Where are you, we could potentially sell our demo CS100
