  1. You need to pressure test the carb, this will tell you straight away if the needle in the carb is leaking, the needle will have a rubber tip which over time will wear, this also raises the metering lever ans causes the carb to leak, a new need and correct adjustment normally cures this, there may also be an issue where the metering diaphragm has hardened, this will also cause the needle to leak, has this machione got a spark arrester in the muffler? this if blocked can give these symptoms.

    560 xp issues

As Spud says but if using an air line blow from inside out, and max 20psi or you risk blowing the mesh off the frame.

    gasket

There is no gasket, the 135/440/435 are all on the same platform, who is saying there is a gasket?
  9. When the new addition 346xp was introduced it came in three different guises, 50cc with deco valve, 50cc without deco valve and and a smaller cc machine for the Asian market ( short arms, and working on banks) the variant that was best equipt for the Uk market and gave the filter and muffler etc we wanted also gave us the deco valve, not having the valve is no real issue, and does give a small increase in power, deco valves leak and even when blanked off the drilling is still there, as long as this is the original Mahla cylinder then all should be fine, you may get custom charges on top of the price.

    husqvarna 61

Not an original 61 as they had a white top cover, the very first one was a Practica 61, they then moved onto the grey top cover, and the last one had an orange top cover, yours appears to be an 1987 vintage, the 61 was one of the longest running models all be it having many changes, on a saw this old it will need new av mounts as they do deteriorate being rubber, a number of parts are no longer available or replaced by complete assembly's so beware, good old school Swedish saw.
  11. As Spud said there were issues with the deco valve and starting, the later valve had a higher pop off pressure, I would normally fit a blank, I would also go for a re tune now it's run some.
  12. Are you sure these are 372, as they have a spring AV system so would not require replacing due to age?
  13. £253 plus vat, ouch.
  14. Said it from day one, i have to confess it's probably the cheapest unit they could possibly of found.
  15. You should not use the later piston, due to the end float you will have piston and big end issues, not too sure if I have an od style piston, I will look later.
  16. I like it, check this out, answers on a post card.
  17. I guess this is the later saw so will have the inserts in the pump, there is an even newer pump, it is a different colour to the black ones, the pump gear and sprocket are also changed, rather than the pins on the back of the sprocket sitting into the gear, the actual splines do, I wonder if he has the new set up?
  18. Not sure what it will show us, but you never know, looking forward to it.
  19. They cannot, they are square headed bolts pressed in from the inside, so the crankcase would have to collapse under the bolt heads, possibly the brake cover is not flat?
  20. As a matter of interest who is supply you with Teclite bars?
  21. I agree with what you say Steve, but it's been said there is a stream of oil coming off the bar, the bar nuts have been tightened correctly, where do we go from here, changing the bar adjuster is a waste of time as the bar nuts secure the bar not the adjuster, there is something we are not being told correctly going on, the 560/562 has been out for a good few years, the pump design is pretty basic and I have never heard of a cover, bar and chain falling off.
  22. To create enough vibration to slacken the bar nuts there has to be something serious going on, I come back to a possible main bearing cage broken, or breaking up, how old is this saw? and how much work has it done? Did the dealer who looked at it say what they had done?
  23. Bar nuts coming loose is a vibration issue surely, assuming they were tightened adiquatly in the first place, if we go back to basics, free run the saw on an appropriate surface, is there a line of oil visible left on the floor? if not it is just not oiling sir, did you check all the things suggested in this thread?
  24. I had Abba on my 8 track in an 850 mini.
