  1. I am sticking with the coil, seen too many like this.
  2. Got them in the 80s Stubby, they work really well I hadone hundreds of clutch Spring replacements two shoe three shoe.
  3. Are you sure the piston wasn't in backwards? the marks on the inlet seem to match that on the exhaust side of the piston.
  4. The latest part number seems to be 04, however I know from experience when they just fire but do not run it is an ignition unit issue.
  5. Clutch Spring assembly tools.
  6. Pump tester
  7. It's a entry level saw 120 is enough for it, as for the exhaust gasket missing, not an issue.
  8. Remove the flywheel, on the back will be the part number of the flywheel, you then match the unit to the parts list that shows that flywheel.
  9. Ignition unit every time, there are different units for different years and they are no interchangeable, my guess is the unit was bad and the dealer has now fitted with the wrong unit.
  10. Should have said thin down non fling oil in sub zero temperatures.
  11. Saw dust in the combi can, not cleaning around the oil cap before filling, and my pet hate bloody bio oil.
  12. Let's just leave it as bad practice.
  13. I have a poly v pulley on a shaft, this has a short belt running around it and the rim, and is driven by a battery drill, this way I can drive the pump with no engine running.
  14. Do not run it with no bar and chain fitted, the clutch can and will spin off on the over run, this is a very dangerous thing to do
  15. Clutch off, sprocket off, pull the pump drive gear behind off and check the condition of the screw also the area that engages to the back of the sprocket, remove the two screws securing the pump, tip the saw on its side and lift the pump away with the oil delivery/pick up pipe, check the filter on the end, there is very little to go wrong with the pump other than blockages.
  16. Does the saw run ok? the only reason I ask is I have seen a fair few shed the main bearing cage, this causes a strange vibration and low power, it's amazing they even run at all, assuming it's oiling ok and the oil pump gear is in good condition, it could well be a main bearing issue.
  17. Did you say the saw has been run with chain oil in it, and if so how long? chain oil can cause ring gumming so lowering compression, if it's not been run the I would suspect the non return valve in the main jet. What bloody idiot did this?
  18. I do, I have three different jigs I had from prodution, I will try to take some pictures of them when I finish putting a starter cord in this crappy chinese generator, it looks like road kill at the moment.
  19. So who does a large splined 3/8 rim with a narrower gauge? and why? certainly a new one on me.
  20. Not that I know?
  21. Why would you need to change the sprocket? the pitch is the pitch.
  22. Not that i remember, why do you think you have to remove the handle?
  23. Buy genuine 503289010 44mm
  24. Be very careful removing the clutch do not be tempted to jar off with a hammer and punch as the legs are sintered and will snap of, make sure the washers behind the sprocket and clutch are assembled correctly, this machine is from the Poulan factory so do not expect too much from it, it was re introduced as the 120 mark 11, same saw!
  25. My feeling is there will not be a replacement for the 3120xp, the power unit is still manufactured, and is now X Torque, however it is only used in the K1260/K1270 power cutter and rail saw.
