  1. @Justme if you already have the 3.5ton towing on a car licence then do the 7.5t licence can you still tow the 3.5t with a 7.5 or does that come back to class 1?
  2. At the start of the first vid it looked like the crane leg was sat in the bird bath 🤪 nice job 👍😎
  3. If your request is sensible and not going to spoil the trees then yes. Get your tree team to do the application, you may get a better result - the tree officer should know them and there standard of work over the home owner who may decide to do the work to a diy standard. Get two or three quotes from local tree teams by recommendation they will give you a better idea of what would be given permission in person.

    Uses for pasture

Does it have to stay as pasture? 4 acre would make a good market garden supplying high end organic veg via a farm shop. It’s a job in its self tho.

6-10 sheep to the acre won’t make it all year round with out winter feed. This takes away the low maintenance. Lower numbers that lamb every year gives higher numbers when the grass is growing and low numbers when it’s not is better as a hobby. It’s never going to be majorly profitable on 4 acre

4-6 plus their lambs would be a good start, be prepared to adjust numbers to find the sweet spot with your grass supply you will find some seasons will be short of grass and some good so fine tuning may take a little while

Hebridean sheep. They are very very low maintenance, you will hardly ever have to trim a foot or lamb one they just get on and look after themselves. Treat for fly strike (prevention) and shear once a year is about it. They are excellent conservation grazers and will thrive on good grass or thorn/bramble scrub. If you want a better profit line find a farm with Dorset short horns to run your ewes with there ram you will get a bigger lamb
  8. Guessing your employed as your boss is paying for it. In which case you need no insurance, that’s the bosses problem. If you are testing independently as your own business you will want professional indemnity insurance.
  9. I wasn’t intending to belittle your efforts, just add a little humour. Are there any records of rough locations of the lost planes?
  10. It’s a ruler pictured with a random bit of steel, why over complicate things? 🤔🤪
  11. THe woodland mills one is much the same as the rock. It’s far better than a axe but don’t expect to do commercial quantities of logs.
  12. In the case of a crash not being your fault, once the copper thinks you are over weight and puts it on the weigh bridge it will be your fault for not being safe on the road and your insurance will laugh at you leaving you high and dry. don’t dismiss it as it won’t matter, it will be a expensive day evan of it wasn’t your fault
  13. Yes I’ve used them along side leaf springs, let down and it rides like it should and you can pump them up till it rides just the same when you “happen” to be over loaded. I found them much better than extra springs. You can also pump one side up more than he other to level a uneven load. I’ve not got that truck any more as I came to the conclusion all 3.5t trucks are a waste of time!
  14. Recheck the anvil gap, I’ve seen them twist so one end is wider than other when the first bolt is tightened.
  15. Don’t you mean bags are the same price with out the Agro of broken springs? Every system has its down side but I wouldn’t hesitate to have air again. Just keep jacking it up till level and don’t look like a off roader when empty. A transit riding high on the arse end gives a traffic copper a mental note to pull it when it’s level 🤔 take a look at these guys in Ireland. I’ve used there kits in the past, was a painless experience 👍 Product Range | DriveRite Air Suspension Systems, Precision Engineered Air Suspension Products WWW.DRIVERITEAIR.COM
  16. Look up Midland road springs, there springs won’t frown at you! Anoher option is look at adjustable air bags, that way you still get a ride quality when empty as you lower the pressure
  17. That’s a cool looking stove 👍
  18. That stuff is the work of the devil. Evil horrible stuff that should only be used in someone else’s engine 🤮
  19. We do this via a local hire shop, they are normally a 2 week turn around for us, but we are a little geographically challenged 😂
  20. Blunt blades 🤪
  21. Round these parts the rh stem would of been cut off at the trunk for power lines, thats good for electric board 🤔 🤣
  22. He other point of note (in my mind) on blades is if you let them get to bad the sharpening cost goes up and as they have to grind more blade away to get a good edge so you get less sharpens per set = higher cost. But I guess the counter argument is more hours between sharpening intervals will evan the number of hours per blade set.
  23. Sharp blades cause less wear n tear and use less fuel. I’m with mick on changing them sooner than some would
  24. If you can put up with the steering wheel not being square to the seat, banging your elbow on the door, getting wet in the rain (window open or shut) then go for it. once you have over come those issues then comes the fact something is always falling off ( parts are cheaper than jap stuff but you will need far more of them) rust will be more of a issue than modern jap stuff. they handle like a hippo on roller skates when loaded but all that said on the plus side you can fix most stuff on them with an adjustable spanner and a lump hammer! And they are kind of cool
  25. I would say much the same. Also bear in mind if you pull the pin out on the lift ram you can lift the cutting wheel and arm up vertical with a ratchet strap. It’s not often you will need to but once done there isn’t many places you can’t get it 👍 as well as boards I use a couple of 4ft bits of scaffold plank to take the sharpness off steps etc, or put them side on against the edge of a patio to stop it crumbling the edge as you go over it. cracking machines with excellent service and backup from predator.
