  1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robinia_pseudoacacia https://core.ac.uk/download/pdf/42928754.pdf Sounds like a good wood to grow, classed as invasive so must grow well ? https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=2ahUKEwiWhrPo7f7hAhWwSBUIHdtHDy0QFjAAegQIAhAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nonnativespecies.org%2FdownloadDocument.cfm%3Fid%3D1385&usg=AOvVaw3zov97iFbMZINsZjD685DU Probably have to wait till next year for bare root.... https://www.hedging.co.uk/acatalog/product_10284.html
  2. White mulberry
  3. For firewood I uses a makita lecky corded saw, a cable is a slight hassle but no fumes saves petrol, build quality is good its lasted yrs. Its cuts loads faster than say a MS181 as 2kW but obviously no where near a 550xp
  4. I though he meant this one: https://www.laddersandscaffoldtowers.co.uk/acatalog/3-Section-Combination-Ladders.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIhabswqjy4QIV6LvtCh0l0gmPEAQYASABEgKGRPD_BwE Looks unstable unless very lvl ground?

  6. Maybe is 5ft tall and pollarded acient old olive?
  7. Majority of moorland a plagio climax vegetation that would natural revert to woodland, and fires & sheep is how its maintained as such.... Are natural fires or arson alot worse for nature than the controlled burning & sheep that maintain the enviroment? Isn't it just the same process but all in one go/ larger scale as opposssed to alot of smaller fires management, that are needed to reduce the fuel load of dead flammable material that causes the large fires? With another hot summer likely to be a load of fires like last year
  8. https://www.makitauk.com/product/duh502z.html Supposedly an upgrade over the other models
  9. Majority round here have some signs of Chalara also
  10. Hope the employers haven't got unreaslistic expectations for you sounds like they are asking 1 person to cover all the jobs that a dozen used to do historically? That walled garden looks massive ? As for the pear don't take off more than 25% to avoid a load of watershoots, it looks like it was maybe over pruned in the past hence the mass of upright shoots. Best to do neglected trees gradually over several yrs even though some owners will complain you haven't taken enough off etc.....
  11. Some councils are going to stop using glyphosate: https://www.theguardian.com/society/2019/apr/05/uk-councils-weedkiller-cancer-link-monsanto-roundup

  14. If its survived 6yrs since landscaping won't it be ok for many yrs more? Top looks healthy & lean isn't excessive.
  15. Why are they spreading north now bad bio security or climate change?
  16. Seems that they are spreading exponentially? https://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/toxic-caterpillar-invasion-spiralling-out-of-control-following-phenomenal-population-explosion-a4053786.html Dunno if they can be stopped but they seem to be losing the "battle" ?
  17. Was watching grand designs last night about 2 new houses on some street with 10 self builds. Why do nearly all "grand design" houses seem to have such massive sized roofs compared to walls, which seems to create alot of unusable spaces without head room?
  18. Makita don't make 9ah ones but the off brand ones come in 9ah? So either there false label or beter capacity than the largest makita ones? Interesting reviews on amazon of some: Battery: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Reoben-BL1860B-5500mAh-Cordless-Indicator/dp/B07GWPVHMP/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?keywords=makita+batteries&qid=1554448812&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1 Review: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/customer-reviews/R166KNWA6WIYAZ/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B07GWPVHMP
