  1. Gaza isn't looking very prosperous atm....
  2. How will they erase hamas unless they kill all 2 million people as the ones killed can be replaced by new recruits eventually? Whats the long term plan for Gaza? Doesn't seem anyway now thats leads to a postive outcome.....for either side.
  3. Is there a modern eqivalent/any new ideas for slopes? I remember seeing one on being swung about on the end of a rope last yrs & thinking there must be some new ideas........ Was at Conwy castle round the base of the walls no room for large machines & alot of area of awarkward slopes, all very steep.... I know some fancy remote control ones can do slopes but think thoose slopes were just to steep....for any other machines......
  4. I got some curved shears from the japan amazon shop thats are very good on laurel etc. There like loppers that mated with shears & sit between in the function they do. You can got at it hacking back chunky stuff rapidly witht them once you get your eye in but there not very good on the fine stems like at the end of the video. Sometimes use a 18v makita cordless topper for thicker stuff also
  5. Where are you getting the trees from - can't be many places selling such species?
  6. Proabably it depends on the spline pattern & shaft diameter
  7. Chuck Norris likes the chinese ones Tracked petrol chipper shredder. Minidumper + woodchipper WWW.DELEKS.CO.UK Compact Track Mounted Chipper DELEKS® DK-800-GREEN Shredder for professional use for forestry applications - Lifan...
  8. Hedges best to have a slight trapezoid shape = more light at bottom. Yours is kind of upside down atm so idealy top needs narrowing to encourage lower down to sprout Then in few yrs time & if trimmed lightly as it regenerates (it will branch more & get dense faster) it will return to how it looked before
  9. Are thoose 200 6ft tall SC stumps still there and sprouting?
  10. Its never gonna be a good dense nice looking hedge wrong species, but should thicken back up abit after a few yrs & help hide what looks like some plastic litter...... You could plant some othe stuff in the gaps yew or beech etc if you want a thicker hedge
  11. Carpet is really bad imo as plastic bits everywhere as it breaks down Unless its a 100% woolen one....but hardly any are now....
  12. How about try the farming forum there is a job listing on there....
  13. Think the one above might be made in ukraine
  14. I like the look of this little one with its own tracked dumper would be ideal for hazel: There are so may makers & sizes performace must be variable as to blockages?
  15. Maybe ideal would be a camper /van sleep in tha back take your own provisions park on site, as mentioned 1 hrs travel from digs. Would be quite nice in the summer if you had a nice setup maybe less so in winter with less daylight
  16. When were they planted? Stakes and the look of the trees suggest they were planted more recently rather than being there a few yrs growing? Looks like a wind swept site can see a "fell" top in background? Being windy maybe the lime is suffering from of the increase in transpiration rate from the wind esp as the roots may not have established yet versus the large top growth Better establisment to be had with smaller 1yrs old trees and consider planting a wind break of willow whips etc..... Hard to say if a drought though may also be a factor Normally if a drought grass wouldn't look so lush, but such upland places sometimes have a moss carpet than retains moisture...
  17. Cheviot trees are good ( cell grown I think are better than bare root cost isn't much more.... ) Main thing that seems important in establishment from what ive seen is the first summers weather and early vegetation/grass control/mulching etc as less competition over the first few yrs Im not sure how much bare root whips vary in quality from one another from different suppliers....
  18. Does it have to be a stihl though im not sure which or if others are any better.......? Suppose it depends if you want to invest in that battery platform Husky or makita ones etc..... Seems husky have got some new models out recently but seem not any info about online reviewing them if they are any better than older ones etc...? 525iHE4
  19. Elder flower i think...
  20. It will be fine no need to worry.
  21. IS IT A SELF FERTILE PEAR TREE ? Im no pomologist but for the best crop you might need another in same pollination group.... For reference: https://www.rhs.org.uk/fruit/pears/choosing-cultivars As for yellow leaves maybe chuck some some compost /mulch /manure etc round the base (but dont volcano mulch)
  22. Same could be apply to anyones opinion? Yet they don't seem that humble on the UKIPer side for want of a better term.....more in my rabid opinion maybe..... (im my humble opinion) Like a Daily mail headline.....simplistic populism etc
