  4. The wolf anvil head has an is adjustable angle mount The ARS has very high quality blades versus others brands iv'e used so even without a force multiplier still works well.... ARS loppers and secateurs hand tools etc are a better quality than the fiskars ones but ive not tried the fiskars pole x86 The X3 multiplier sounds good ..... Im abit of a lopper fanatic got theese ones - beasts of a loppers

  7. Best are supposedly the air pots but they are expensive Pot size needs ideally to be just slightly larger than existing roots ball, potting up a plant in an overly large pot with small root ball is as a general rule is not good for the plant. Very common issue: https://www.rhs.org.uk/prevention-protection/overpotting Best is to gradually pot up into bigger pots as it grows until its gonna be planted out etc... Wouldn't think it needs to go in house but a small pot is vunerable if there is a ground frost & you don't want soil in pot to to freeze. Ideal would be greenhouse cold frame etc
  8. Both brands are now owned by snap-on so maybe?
  9. Just fould this interesting idea counter to the mainstream view... Better off stateless: Somalia before and after government collapse Peter T. Leeson https://www.peterleeson.com/better_off_stateless.pdf So anarchy is better than a terrible "communist" state not really a big surpise but its still pretty bad.... Think the UK has a way to go yet until the goverment gets bad enough anarchy is better.
  10. So who would enforce the rules.... Would end up like Mogadishu?
  11. Badly is likely as pollards are best created on trees which are less mature. Will likey end up with decay in large cuts and prehaps a mass of ugly lions tail effect new growth requiring ongoing work More chance with the oak doing better than beech as they generaily responses better than beech and it has already some branches which could form a lower canopy. The beech has being crown raised alot so won't have much foilage left after pruning. Leave alone or cut grounf lvl is best uness they want to faff about with maybe staged reductions etc to give them chance is developing a lower crown etc Or beech removed & oak topped maybe.
  12. One of theese bijou handbags to match?
  13. I still don't get why anything needs to be removed as couldn't it not all just be ground/mulched into obilvion and then re-landscaped?
  14. Yeah looks wrong maybe its the wrong gauge? Cannon spare guidebar noses - Chainsawbars WWW.CHAINSAWBARS.CO.UK
  15. SPHN maybe? Though can't see how complete removal from site helps disease control much due the nature of fungi mycelium etc? What happen to theese stumps in the end....🙂?
  16. Soft wood pallets with nails maybe?
  17. Why are they being so fussy as in what difference does it make how they are removed?
  18. I like the tripod idea with a farm jack
  19. The weights compared in more detail of the 18v 36v v the 40v as depends om the batteries fitted So the 40v is both more powerful and its lighter than the 36v. But the the smaller 40v batteries don't support 1.5kw output.... Makita Launched a New High Output Battery TOOLGUYD.COM Would suit the BL4040f best . Interesting how much better it is than the BL4040 even though it has the same rating in Ah: Not released to UK atm EU only 🤔
  20. Just looked up the spec of the maks on the NZ site as that has the info;
  21. Echo does have extension poles for there combi petrol tool same a stihl and husky etc do Im not sure if they would fit the hegder units MTA-3EXT WWW.ECHO-TOOLS.CO.UK Add the optional 91cm MTA-3EXT extension pole to the PAS-2620ES Multi-tool for extra reach. Use with the optional...
  22. Im happy with the 18v makita topper Ok its slow on any thing over 3" but still its very useful. The new 40v makita probably a big step up i bet but means a whole new battery platform.... Makita UC002GZ 40v Max XGT Top Handle Chainsaw Naked - PowerToolMate WWW.POWERTOOLMATE.CO.UK
  23. So either a 560xp or 562xp Dependent on the wood you are cutting, it would be a nice upgrade if you are cutting larger diameter stuff. Abit overlooked but the 555 is going cheap atm: £499. Husqvarna 555 18" Chainsaw | Chainsaws UK WWW.WGMLTD.CO.UK Superb Value - Check out Husqvarna 555 18" Chainsaw - Experience Excellent Service from Winchester Garden... Its the same as a 550xp just without rev boost i think... EDIT; meant the same as a 560xp not the 550XP....as the 555 is 60cc
