  5. Plannings seem poor compared to the granite chippings from the local quarry. Seen alot of drives with plannings, that if there any slope just get washed away by rain & even on the flat ones potholes form very quickly. Granite doesn't seem to wash out as much....or pothole as fast maybe as its a heavier density

  9. No idea..... Suppose it depends Own your own woodland or are you buying in all the wood.... Electric cost? Yard & shed space... Is kiln dried is seen (wrongly imo) as a premuim product that can be sold for abit more than air/ barn dried etc even if its the same % moisture so can cover some costs? When if/it stops it will mean more imports? Old thread:
  10. Re concrete- will need also ideally a fall & some kind of drainage system so it doesnt puddle?

  12. Looks pretty easy to deal with as to what to do that depends what you want to do... if its your tree & field? Do you want firewood or oaks boards or dead wood for bugs?
  13. That would be my thinking. Id say the etseais is probably good as its narrow 46cm deck If it was 53cm like the orec with same -ish engine blade is cutting about 30% more area of circle They seem often just to go wider decks but not any bigger engines why not more GCV200 ones etc...

  16. Hard to say from pictures but if you drag out/sned up the larger diameter ones you can see on top with a chainsaw. them, the rest might mulch up ok with the brushcutter esp if its gone half rotten Using the oregon mulch blade type
  17. I see the head is also double the weight on that versus some others.... I got a bison one cheap on Amazon.de https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Sappie-high-quality-pulling-picking-moving/dp/B005F71TEO/ref=sr_1_5?crid=1I9BVQ0LL9UHY&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.b6f2_gvwnKeCzCQQ2SWICS3F6XOp17rSi3H2fGLYMGWwoVwXQvGKCqjb74IZiVx_qbY4953AOAqwW50k7LULM9KThbtaeBTz61Oyu9ts4128BjDSmE6qHMKbfRlUnODbpftpes4LEXEJxgyMTMFvyOks30ND6QyGAMGVqewBBpslsROBe1dV_qvRaaacpCBMMEV-xgnWm7SAi0SvENV6bzHYrC659ut-yH4inWJhGtnfUNkU9Yr8i9vB8MJOOflPbjhpu7ywsarlJ7Y8G3qRCYGOnKBCCl7BJVwhGwq3x_w.r_P4cY73pxerRs_QQZTWbeQRL9qnwMo1lTCPkuBCXpA&dib_tag=se&keywords=sappie&qid=1726993615&sprefix=sappie%2Caps%2C90&sr=8-5&th=1 Stubai have big range of them Forest PDF | Stubai ZMV GmbH WWW.STUBAI.COM also how do you use the teeth?
  18. Ive had similar with rakers on a new oregon chain. Chain was "grabby" and pulled jammed into the wood think it might matter more on lower powered saws & the wood type/ seasoning also makes a difference...

  22. I have the sp53h its ok-ish engine seems not as good as the honda izy 160gvx I had before though deck is wider Always felt like it could do with more power maybe the 200gvc engine would suit a 51cm cut better.... Never use the mulch feature as thats woud only works if you cut the lawn, say twice a week... Self drive is abit rubbish and it doesn't & bag very well ... No idea if you can get anything good or better in that price bracket....?
  23. Shifting baseline syndrome is a term normally applied to natural ecosystem degradation. I also think it covers why obesity is being regarded as normal. If a time machine got a group of people from 1950's they would be shocked by the obesity of 2024. Whereas younger people may see it as normal and some older ones have also forgotten how radically things have changed as its being gradual
