  2. How about this HUSQVARNA CHAINSAW 372XP 5.3HP 70CC 965702618 MICMARONLINE.COM Build with the best. A 372xp for £490 seems a good bargin I don't see anything appealing out of the stihls listed...

  4. If you can get a decent volume of wood for free & own the yard/barn space perhaps & also it depends how much you earn doing other work. Species is pretty irelavant once seasoned imo but rdm knotty arb waste etc takes twice the time to do as processor grade straight roundwood and the logs won't be pretty & uniform for fussy customers. Most logs ive seen advertized as a 1m3 cube sell in the 0.8x0.8m builders bags so are a 0.6m3 volume dumpy bag for around £100. Or are thoose stacked imported crates from the Baltic.
  5. What about Domestic MVHRs?

  10. Looks good though & very tidy even if its not that flat. I suppose a flater angled stems is better for encouraging a dense sprouty bottom....?
  11. I Had the same fungi on my "wild" bullace tree before it eventually died after about 10yrs Bullaces are fairly common in North Wales in old gardens. People call the damsons often... Have many suckers from it left about as they popped up all over like blackthorn does.... Suckers from a planted damson cultivar are no good as it will be on a grafted root stock, but if its actually bullace could be the best option...to let some appear and grow up.... If its a damson rather than bullace id suggest plant a new tree now as a replacement and try somwwhere with decent drainage & if possible away from the existing one. 16. Reminds me of the day of the triffids plotline. Annually the whole community walked the whole Isle of wight refuge to tackle any seedlings blown in. I read in the FC info that suposedly its seedbank only lasts less than 1 yrs sounds like thats not always right then....? https://cdn.forestresearch.gov.uk/1987/03/fcbu073.pdf
  17. Yes might get a better job candidate if advert said upfront what the job was? Rhoddy bashers wanted etc? I think its well worth doing but its a job that has to be 100% done or its a big waste of money. Rhoddy will be back if not 100%... So the devils in the details its a long term project and grant money often runs out after a few yrs, then in 50yrs -100yrs or whatever( nature operates on longer timescales ) unless a hillside is 100% clear your back to square one...

  24. Its fun when/if the roots pop back upright into the hole.
  25. Yeah I thought its sounded like BS but as its on the official website, so thats probably where the idea started from? Would a mains corded saw be any difference to battery i don't think so?
