  4. Yes might get a better job candidate if advert said upfront what the job was? Rhoddy bashers wanted etc? I think its well worth doing but its a job that has to be 100% done or its a big waste of money. Rhoddy will be back if not 100%... So the devils in the details its a long term project and grant money often runs out after a few yrs, then in 50yrs -100yrs or whatever( nature operates on longer timescales ) unless a hillside is 100% clear your back to square one...

1 stud seems something re- designed more shit on purpose to make then less good that the 2 stud norm- more likely to break..?

Used to keep goats & they will strip everything completely bare up to a browse line which is about 7ft.
  10. I like an xmas pud or cake but prefer them without the brandy. Like one with royal icing.
  11. Its fun when/if the roots pop back upright into the hole.
  12. Yeah I thought its sounded like BS but as its on the official website, so thats probably where the idea started from? Would a mains corded saw be any difference to battery i don't think so?
  13. I heard someone say or read this before maybe is an urban myth? Here found some reference: Just a moment... WWW.STIHLUSA.COM

  18. Milwaukee cut cookies faster than the 40v makita..... Safety guards look abit annoying...but can see why they put ones on them given the one handing dangers
  19. Just cough up and get a 550xp . A new ms251 is hardly any cheaper than the 550xp MK2 so whats the point of anyone buying them just makes no sense to me at all? Battery saws are nice to have but the decent ones plus a few batteries are more expensive than a good 50cc saw and less useful allrounders. If you have the cash get the battery saw once to have the 50cc petrol as an additional second saw...
  20. Whats the wives orchard buisness gonna be sounds interesting....?
  21. Good habitat/"bug hotel" trees though, all thoose fashionable veteran features on young trees, ideal for bat roosts etc. Alot of healthy top growth atm even with all the rot & they have already survived at least 3 loppings. Carry on re-pollarding & they may either go on for many more decades ....or they could just die....hard to guess at... They would need to be redone now & then repeated every 10yrs though as the tops will probaby blow out if they get to tall... Downside is the ongoing expense so its easier & more sensible just to get rid.
  22. You can still ge a new 272xp Husqvarna 272xp chainsaw with 18” guide bar and chain – Logs and Saws LOGSANDSAWS.CO.UK
  23. Im confused I thought a narrow kerf & smaller pitch would be best is for not bogging down with batteries? Also be less snatchy on small wood.... Also lopro comes in 2 different bar gauges...
  24. Id say a near 100% no to big cats UK "wilderness" area is small and and wildlife camera trap etc are cheap now so why zero evidence, even though theres being rumours for yrs?
