  6. I do this with one of my kitchen knives. The wife then cuts stuff up on a plate and kills the edge.. Nicely sharpened , by the way
  7. It's pretty hard to get a good tyer these days , I normally have a new one every year. Last year the bosses son and his mate , both 17 , and we had a great laugh . This year just the mate and he is a good lad , wants to be an airline pilot and it will cost him £100,000 to do it. I hope he succeeds. Does your nursery line the grafts out in the field as they do on the continent ?
  8. I have been doing it for nigh on 40 years now. It has given me some real muscle problems and pain and I am still seeing a specialist for Piriformis syndrome , but it's better than it was. It is very hard on the body.
  9. Gollum , my boss uses his left hand to put the bud in ,same as you. I only do this with T budding. You appear to be using a grafting knife also , another difference . The result will be the same though. Nice work.

  22. That's how I thought he got here. Bit the bird is spotless. He **** on my hand , as usual for ducks and looks like he has been eating pond weed . Going by that and his good size ,I am going to release him on the 16 foot drain , which has a good population of them .
