  1. I shall see if my mate wants him , he keeps a few fowl and really needs water. Mind you I could put him on the little lake we have ,he should be safe on there and there is plenty of grub.
  2. Not within waddling range. It's possible he came up the miriad of dykes and drains that surround the area , but they are not very well connected to the lane.
  3. This is going no where . Call it ashnut
  4. It's as fit as a fiddle and very strong.
  5. I couldn't eat it now even if it was huge.
  6. Saw my brother running up the lane and he came back hiding something. Handed it to me with a big smile and said " Explain this " Now we reckon it's a Tufted duck . They are a diving duck and like deepish water. Nearest water with any depth is the Middle Level main drain about a mile away. So how did it get here , it's obviously a chick and can't fly. It is however , a strong runner, and beautiful.
  7. Oak grow surprisingly fast if you can keep mildew and insects away. Give them a pot each and keep the mildew off and they will recover
  8. Looks a bit like fly damage ,plus you have them in a less than ideal environment and the sun reflecting off your feet is burning them.
  9. Maybe they are bog oaks ! You need some diving gear and a sturdy winch .
  10. Whatever sort of journalist puts question marks completely out of context like that???? Must have been a Solo attack.
  11. I don't understand why these people are allowed to walk the streets . I would not mind if the locked them up for good and out of the way.
  12. Ash mush
  13. Hope he can make a silk purse ...
  14. It's called a Rottenbach I think. I got it second hand locally , hardly used for £500. They seem to be from 5 to £700 on Amazon. Tin work is thin , but the engine is strong and it cuts well. Mine is electric start and has not faltered.
  15. This one caught my eye .. But I bought this one. Chonda engine but pretty good and fairly cheap.
  16. Very good
  17. I got an Oregon bench grinder for £200 from Spaldings.
  18. What is it the Yanks often say " That will leave a mark "
  19. My name is not Lawrence and he is not right.
  20. My thoughts precisely
  21. Perhaps this should be renamed the Chilling thread ( Chinese Milling).
  22. £600 . It's not as big as the eBay yew
  23. Similar to this. There appear to be several with the name Raywood. This is the one I am familiar with .
  24. Jaspidea should be yellow. Possibly Raywoodii , fine leaves that have beautiful autumn colour , similar to the redish hue in the picture

Sounds like a good idea. We will require a before and after video.
