  1. Check valve clearance its critical, also check for pinprick holes in valve cover and gasket condition
  2. Expose and remove clutch shoes, there are bushes that the clutch shoes pivot on, knock these out and clean with wet and dry paper or a flat file. Clean the holes the bushes fit in with a large chainsaw file, lubricate with spray and refit. Make sure shoes pivot freely on bushes
  3. Our 12 plate sprinter with 49000 miles still has front original Continental Van pro on, Michelin Agilis also very good, avoid Avon, never has a good result with them
  4. I have had about 5 generals and a spinal. The first general, I think they gave me "too much choke" and I was hungover for a day or 2. More recently, they have been a piece of cake, far better than a trip to the dentist. Secret I found was as the white injection goes in try to go to sleep, dont fight it. As you wake up, roll over and try to go back to sleep, again dont fight it, its powerful stuff!
  5. You would have thought this scammer needs a career change now
  6. Try another carb off a known good machine
  7. Seen the same with cheap quality 2 stroke oil
  8. There seems to be a spate of theft in that area, I would say Harwich port is involved
  9. Fuel blockage somewhere. possibly fuel tap or filter in tank, or tank not venting properly
  10. Sounds like an ignition coil or just worn out piston and cylinder, as it heats up, its compression drops so wont start from hot. Needs to cool down before it can restart
  11. The answer is when we all as a consumer have something delivered we want to pay little or nothing. This means couriers and drivers are under immense pressure to achieve large numbers of drops, possibly 200 in a day. Couple that to paying drivers minimum wages or even using agency drivers and corners will be cut. A 10kg box is down to little over £3 in some cases. Our business has learnt to stick to quality carriers and only use APC, problems are minimal and easily sorted.
  12. Just read this on BBC news, if this is the case then we are on the slippery slope. Perhaps if you let your dog chew the intruder then they have a reason to attend! Police apology after burglars raid Brierley Hill firm twice in one night - BBC News
  13. Are online batteries delivered with acid in them or do you need to go to a local supplier to get that added?
  14. Guaranteed scams, the specs are all American and both sellers registered on 14th May. If you fancy paying and the waiting 2 weeks to reclaim your money, drive on
  15. MS250 replaced by MS251 approx 6 years ago. I have never seen a MS381, presume it could be a non imported to the UK model
  16. Here is the size Pair rear wheels to suit a Hayter Condor chevron tyres | eBay
  17. Ebay? Scottish Grass possibly
  18. I think those at Ebay towers are just starting to realise they need to support the sellers a bit more and avoid any negative press, if they cough up, both seller and buyer are more than satisfied
  19. I would say that if you open an item not received dispute, the Ebay resolution team, based in Phillipines will request tracking details from the seller. This will show a signature with the correct initial and surname. If it was an opportunist who signed then its spooky how they managed to guess your wifes initial. It is possibly someone who knows your household, possibly the driver but more likely a neighbour with good intentions so I would have a good door to door enquiry Back to Ebay resolution team, they will see the expected signature and , bearing in mind Parcelforce appears to be Ebays preferred carrier, will trust the carrier. I guess they will also back the seller but then re imburse you from their own pocket so neither buyer nor seller will be out of pocket, it has happened to us in this way
  20. We sell at £60 per used pair delivered should be breaking another one soon, these are the low profile fatter ones to suit that year
  21. We put a Stihl 1 shot in with each saw. That does 4 things, 1. It makes the buyer aware he needs a 2 stroke mix 2. It ensures he has the correct oil to hand when he opens the box. No need for "I'll just pop to garage to buy some crap 2 stroke oil / use some crap I have here/ try it with some car oil to make sure its okay/ try it without any oil at all and if its okay then buy some oil" 3.Tells the buyer which oil to buy when he has used the sample up 4. Hopefully gives him enough oil to see him through the Ebay dispute period, then if he knackers it, its not coming back to bite me! Higher value saws are sold on a classified advert as you deal directly with the customer, talk to him so you get an idea he knows what he is doing, cuts down on fees and returns plus we can suggest a more suitable saw if needed. Also fixed price fees We are on the point of printing off an instruction sheet to go with all saws Selling a saw as seen , no returns, or no Paypal is very unlikely to work as Ebay will soon over rule that if claimed as not described.
  22. We get many requests for machines to do this sort of job. Power scythes okay but grass really needs to be dry and standing . Good when you want to use grass for hay. Wheeled strimmers ok but job to get even finish and a bit slow in my opinion. A good hand held brushcutter ( Stihl FS460) almost as quick. Most people who want to cut these sort of areas we sell a Hayter Condor 30 inch rotary, cuts lawns to hay at best an acre an hour. Honda UM616 very good as well. I wouldnt bother with domestic mowers listed above, plastic wheels will last no time on rough ground
  23. If the webshop uses Java then Java no longer works will Google Chrome. Try internet explorer
  24. This picture sponsored by Stihl and Mattessons
  25. The idea is that if you send the home user a one shot of what will work fine , then he will replace with that. The red shots are easily available. As someone else has said, the price between green and red is trivial, so anyone who buys wants green instead when they buy a saw, thats fine, they clearly know what they are doing.
