  1. Seller appears to be a man of few words and if blower is a recent photo then clearly has a different weather system to everyone else, he has even just cut grass
  2. Are you 100% sure its a Honda or is it a generic chinese one. These work well but need loads of water , pressure fed to it. If you know you have plenty of water and it is a chinese, then change the pump is the best bet, about £60 and 20 mins job
  3. The kit must be going abroad, probably to Eastern Europe. Most Stihl products sold in this country for the last 4 years should have been registered so should be traceable in the UK but perhaps not so many questions asked in the Eastern Block. As has already been said someone has to buy it to make it worth stealing. No decent tree surgeons will want to own stolen kit. We will not buy any used kit without knowing where it has come from. When we first started we did get offered some doubtful kit but not no more
  4. Check fuel supply into carb, we had a Kohler last year with an inline fuel filter inside the pipe not visible. We removed that, fitted a Briggs inline filter and it was fine
  5. It is certainly not a fine its an invoice, simple way round it if Aldi wont sort it out is send the parking company an invoice for your time contesting their invoice and see what happens. They must have a record of what time you entered car park and you have evidence what time was on your receipt and ask the car park company to prove you went elswhere
  6. There is an oversized stud available from Stihl to sort problem in most cases, otherwise its a new chassis
  7. We have something similar for sale, great bit of kit, sit in the van, heater on, and let mower do the job
  8. The cause of the bearing failures is generally down to an egg shaped centre hole in a few sprockets. If the operator carries on using the saw without spotting the bearing failure , the crank will become scored and need replacing as it will continue to chew up bearings. The egg shaped hole was only found in rim sprockets so we replace all rim sprockets with spur sprockets , even from new, spurs havent been known to cause any issues. This only applies to the MS261
  9. Make sure it has a spur sprocket not a rim, its the rim type that can cause the trouble
  10. Is that the parking warden on the left? At least you know where he is
  11. Check flywheel key, its part of flywheel and if snapped it will never run although still gives a spark
  12. As we carried my father out of our local church, there was only one choice
  13. We use about 3 ton of wood a winter for our own woodburner so if you have 8-10 tons of hardwood coming , thats hardly domestic casual use which is where the Mitox and other DIY brands are aimed at. You really need a semi pro of even pro saw around 50cc for that The problem is with a lot of these DIY saws is that they have non adjustable carbs and run quiet lean. When you need a bit more power and hence fuel, the carb cannot be adjusted to allow for this. The makers seem to allow for the saw cutting smaller branches and little more
  14. The oldest has been in use 5 years, thats when they replaced the previous model. Some of them are doing 30 hours a week in season
  15. We have sold probably close to 200 of these both new and used, only ever seen one new one with a failed gearbox and that happened within 2 weeks of sale so one off manufactering defect. We have users who wear out a clutch in a year. The only real issue with a FS460 is when the user takes the strimmer guard off and uses excessive cord, this upsets the brain in the carb. Answer is dont take guard off. The FS410c has a standard carb so wont be affected by this , depending on how ridiculous the cord length is, something else will break. In a nutshell gearbox is sound
  16. What I cannot understand is what he is trying to achieve as he clearly doesnt own the saw to be able to sell it so cannot offer cash on collection . He offers free delivery so discourages collection hence the buyer will pay by Paypal, who will hold funds for 28 days to new sellers. Surely within that period, the duped buyer will raise a dispute he hasnt received saw and buyer is refunded. I cannot see the point of the advert
  17. Saw looks genuine, seller clearly doesn't know what he is selling, only registered as a seller today, but look a bit closer, does that look like an American socket on the wall? in London?
  18. Strip and clean clutch, check for broken springs, probably replace springs anyway, make sure all resin and dirt is cleaned out, replace bearing and try again. Clutch prone to seizing if using certain types of biodegradable oil
  19. Just bear in mind that Stihl use a different 16" bar for MS250, 62 links and a MS271 / 261 67 links . If your Ozaki bar is for a 261 or 271 then it wont fit. Check page 54 of 2015 Stihl catalogue for details
  20. Being a tight a**e we always cook 2 joints on a Sunday and use both through to mid week, chicken and pork today. However was in Lidl this morning and picked up some Kangaroo steaks, very lean, bit chewy and gamey flavour. Kids sampled but didnt show them box! Sure I saw Alligator in Iceland other day
  21. Engines good, then it went downhill
  22. If you run over both hands he wont be able to carry his can!
  23. Now there's a surprise He has gathered 4 Negatives for failure to supply rivet guns in last month
  24. I wear Dr Martens Conrad, slip on boot, need 3 days wearing in but then very comfortable and easy on / off. Ebay best place
  25. Do you think it would be safer if the stop switch worked?
