  1. Just study the advert , the same firewood processor on sale in London and Droitwich , who if either is the real owner? , I will leave it to you boys to find out. My monies on Droitwich being genuine Firewood processor Japa | eBay Japa 13hp petrol 2009 firewood processor | eBay
  2. On an auction , yes On a classified your'e okay
  3. I wouldnt worry about Ferris with a chunk out of solid tyre, quite common, I wouldnt buy in a JCB to resell. would be a bit dubious about engine , always sounds very noisy and rough. Fairly sure it is not in current production
  4. Personally I think this sort of seller needs his Kn****rs clamping in the timber grab and left there for a few hours to reflect on his actions
  5. Scag and Ferris are king of the zero turns and easy enough for parts, blades belts and bearings all cheap to buy. Petrol ones should have a Kawasaki twin, diesel a 3 cylinder Kubota or Cat, I dont like the Yanmar twins. The build quality on these brands is excellent and a 48 inch should manage 2 acres per hour
  6. When we stay in Hereford we drive out to New Inn at Pembridge, 25 mins drive but well worth it. Rose is about the best cook I have ever met, she cooks a rump steak that tastes better than most fillets. We struggle to finish what she puts in front of us but its too good to waste and its tremendous value
  7. Certainly looks like Hackney in the background. Loads of Ford 4000 tractors, far more common than red buses
  8. Make sure fuel cap breather is in right way up. Try it with it out and also check exhaust port is clean. Good luck trying to find new bits for this age machine, breather has altered in design from original.
  9. Its not the bearing thats the problem, its the rim sprocket being very slightly oval. This in turn is not too much of an issue if the bearing problem is spotted straight away. The issue is a problem when the needle bearings score the crankshaft, when the saw is used with a naff bearing, then a new crank required. We have sold 10 saws in recent weeks and modify them to spur sprockets under warranty before they leave. The spur sprockets have no issues so no failures
  10. Small Atco seems good or up the money stakes a Viking 4082. Avoid anything without a blade driving belt ie some Mountfields as the clutches dont stick it and are a £200 job to replace
  11. Change or clean the nozzle, sounds as though its partially restricted, may also be o ring displaced in trigger
  12. Try Dave Norton down near Stourpaine Dorset 07860 454913. Very friendly and knowledgeable , if he hasn't got one, he will know where
  13. We sell a lot of these as used machines, the Scag is the best seller by far and probably the most durable, Ferris comes second and then everything else
  14. Has anyone done a vaccumn test on saw to check for air leaks. If it hasnt been done try changing the crank seals and making sure the vaccumn connection to the carb is okay. If these are faulty then the saw will starve of fuel and give symptons as described
  15. The MS260 doesn't have bearing problems as such, its the MS 261 that suffered from this with some rim sprockets
  16. We have 3 sprinter and a vito so all Mercedes, Vito is less money than VW and better suspension. If you dont need 4x4 then its a far better bet, these 6 seat vans seem very popular now, seats fold up or come out in minutes to make a full size van. On the road tows just as well as Hilux, loads of power, friend has a big caravan on one, does it fine
  17. We had a new Hilux invincible for 6 months, total waste of time for us, couldnt carry much at all. If you can manage without 4 wheel drive and wanted a pick up with a lid, then look a a Vito with a second row of seats. Carries 6 people and on a LWB has 5 foot of van space, everything out of sight, 38 mpg when treated tidy, ours is 163 bhp and goes like stink. On all new commercials now, its worth considering a factory Tacho if going to tow, lot cheaper in factory than afterwards
  18. I have seen Stihl making chain in their plant in Switzerland. From memory they are the only chain manufacterer who make each chain component individually including sharpening the cutters before assembly. All pieces are inspected by human eye, they make about 32 million pieces an hour . We didnt see the stretching process or the cutting into loops but you could easily see why their chain is so good. We only fit Stihl chains to Husqvarna saws for several major tree surgery companies with no problems
  19. Something wrong somewhere, must be bar or sprocket problem if number of drive teeth correct
  20. That is correct for a Husky on .325 chain, we make and supply loads of chains and never have that problem, sound like an oil problem to me
  21. We had a phone call this morning from a guy in Doncaster that was asking about a Kubota G18 we had advertised on Ebay at £4495 plus vat on a classified. He asked did we use libary pictures, I said no . He then pointed out the same photos were on an advert from Milton Keynes. He had emailed and funnily, the woman selling it was in Greece and the mower in Scotland. If he cared to send her £2000, then she would send it for £3.20, he declined. Ebay soon pulled advert when it was pointed out. It appears to usually be the same basic scam with a slight variation in each case. Whatever happens if you cannot see item before sale, there is always a reason!!
  22. Google Chester Hudson in Horsham, that could be right up his street
  23. I think HMRC are correct and you should pay fine and know for the future. You are carrying out maintenance work in a school just as a builder or jobbing gardener might. The builders transit van wouldnt stand a chance running on red. HMRC aren't concerned what the vehicle is, they are concerned what it is doing. There is no way a school can be classed as forestry. Farmers weekly interactive published a very good guide Feb 14 I beleive
  24. Out of interest I stay in a lot of Travelodges, they all have new good quality , possibly Sleepezee mattresses and there is a sign on bedside cabinet offering home delivery of said mattress, king size £399. We just had a new memory foam mattress and if we hadnt, I would have ordered one of these as was very impressed with comfort. Tempur I believe are in factory outlets, McArthur Glen etc so maybe a deal there
  25. They were the Australian Redback boots £80 a pair, very hard wearing. Midsole play havock with my feet on concrete all day. As soon as the surgery worked out I hadnt had a booster for 16 years it was a straight away job
