  1. You can dig them out without splitting the crankcase, hoover out the bit, take care putting them back i broke one they are brittle. H-A

  3. I have straightened outboard cranks, both solid and 3 part, no problems. Normal procedure after big end replacement, Youtube has videos of it. H-A

    Saw this on another forum, made me laugh. The rednecks in the US know the limits of their pickups. And not running on red, amazing what Shell V Power can do. H-A

  10. How big is your axe ? I have just re-handled an Elwell 2 1/2 ib using a "Gransfors Bruk" small forest axe replacement handle, cost about £9. very similar to the original, and made from a nice bit of Hickory. H-A
  11. With the South African "Braai" people always used dry hardwood. But there now appears to be a move to charcoal. My South African neighbours still burn wood for their bbq, you can tell by the smoke. With our weather a big wood fire outside would be best and cook on that. H-A

  22. Almost a tree, I have just bought a 1 foot log, tree fern. Has anyone had a go at growing these? Any tips for success please. H-A
