  1. dressing Trauma Bandages ENGLISH WRITING Field Emergency IFAK Israeli Army IDF | eBay There are loads on the Bay. H-A
  2. We had a similar thing when a teething Border pup decided a dwarf apple tree was a good thing to chew on. That was about 4 years ago, we did not do any thing to it as we thought it was going to die. It is slowly callusing over, and fruits very well for a small tree. H-A
  3. "Heat the area of the bearing seat to about 230°C (446°F). – Position the roller bearing so that the nylon ring faces outwards. : Push the roller bearing home as far as stop" That is what it says in the service book, PM me your email address and I will send you a copy of the service book. H-A
  4. Yes that sounds ok. Perhaps the ebay title should contain the serial number. eg "MS200t 162480146X for sale" If it is logged as stolen it will be on the data base. H-A
  5. If stolen saw numbers are readable then the data base has some use, if you legitimately own a saw why would the serial number need to be secret? I would not buy a saw with a ground off serial number, I know on Stihl saws the number is duplicated within the crankcase halves, but in real terms that is of little use. The data base does not need to be linked to individuals who own the saws. If saw No. 123abc-245 is stolen it can be flagged up in red as a stolen saw do not buy. Saws changing hands legitimately, are not an issue, and will not be flagged as stolen. As to "what should be available to the authorities" If I get my saws stolen the authorities are welcome to the serial numbers and my address, perhaps I will get them back. I envisage a sub section to the forum, that allows all saws to be logged, it will also allow forum users to record stolen saw details. A simple search on a serial number database, should help buyers to avoid buying stolen goods. H-A
  6. I find a good coat of PVA works well, just slap it on. H-A
  7. Sounds good, hope it works out. H-A
  8. An auction site, selling any thing links the seller to an address. Nicked stuff will be word of mouth or boot sales. Saying that there is loads of stolen stuff sold on ebay, if the serial numbers are intact, the saw should be traceable. It is a simple fact that main dealers have little interest after the saw is sold. The police have even less interest in stolen saws. Perhaps there should be an Arbtalk chainsaw number database. It would allow any owner of a chainsaw to log saw type and number into a database. Then any saw sold on ebay could be subject to a simple serial number request. If the seller of the saw can't give details of the serial number then don't buy it, as it may be nicked. Worth a thought Steve, would that be possible to produce such a data base, that could flag up stolen gear? H-A
  9. I have bought 4 second hand ones so far, have been pleased with the results. It has been ok as I am able to mend my own saws. If I buy new I go to main dealer, 2 year warranty and all that. Also when you buy from a main dealer you get a handy sticker on the saw to expedite warranty issues. H-A
  10. There is a video of that H-A
  11. Not sure why he wanted to sleep up the tree, hotel and a few beers would have been better. H-A Nice pictures http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/galleries/p01svvgb
  12. My son tapped a large silver birch, collected the sap and boiled it down to make syrup. When the leaf buds are just opening, they do run like a tap. H-A
  13. Yes 90s. How many 90s saws are still going strong. H-A
  14. That Makita saw cuts very well, my opinion about Makita Chainsaws is changing. H-A

I made roof trusses reinforced with plywood gussets, make them on top of each other so they are all the same, learn what a "purlin" is, fix roofing sheets to purlins not rafters. Clad in feather edge, and don't discount using corrugated sheet on the roof. I have used 3x2 CLS in the past and insulated with 60mm Celotex. Build as big as you can they always fill up fast. H-A
