  1. Will pass on all the comments to the guy that builds these. Thanks. Its a lump Peter, the girls in the horsey yard have commandeered it so its staying where it is Just wondering now what to treat it with, I dont want the grief of varnish but also dont want stain/oils coming off on clothes. 5. A few hundred meters of Gorse,Birch and scrub mulched off for civil enabling works. Work was for Al at Old Mill tree Care. Bob
  6. Would it not be worth getting it out of there with tractor and trailer to a site where you can stack with a view to collect with a timber truck when there is a full load ready ? When we use our ten tonner to move cord we cut at 2.5 and load it sideways on the truck to save faffing about with bolsters. Bob

  10. Confession. I have got chain making kit and usually only buy Oregon, not because its any good but thats all Honeybros keep in stock. I had to get a load of our medium sized saws ready for a job that was running for a month solid , after getting the saws sorted I had my couldn`t be arsed on head on so bought a pile of pattern bars and a few dozen ready made cheapy chains off ebay to suit rather than make them up. The surprise is the lads could not tell the difference and there were no breakages. Bob
  11. I fear the worst, there have been unconfirmed reports of him being chased down the A303 by an irate gang consisting of trailer salesmen, pickup dealers, calorgas agents and his neighbour that shares his drive.:thumbup:. Bob

  15. I would go with the TRW offerings if they are right on your doorstep, Tim Woodcock is an ok guy and you will get good service. Bob
  16. Its in the drink Bob
  17. The stability of these artic steer loaders is a bit suspect, our Schaffer has been on its side a few times. I think its important to have one guy trained up that knows how to drive one safely, there is nothing wrong with them in competent hands. Problems arise when the unsuspecting get them on the turn with raised forks/bucket on anything other than a level surface. Bob
  18. Anyway had a fair day and Mick has nearly finished the framework on a 50`x20` steel shed he is knocking up for me. Not bad for three days work
  19. None of my lot are the least bit interested in what I do Mick, they have all gone off in their own direction. Pretty independent bunch though , they rarely ask for anything. Bob
  20. Mick the welder is scoffing the sandwich, the 6`8" 20 stone rugby machine next to him is my youngest son. Bob
  21. Things are getting better, Mick the stiralian welder has come back from his annual walkabout. May be able to get some projects finished before he goes off on one Bob
  22. Excellent
  23. One step forward and two back Mick, its a dance called the Arb shuffle. Bob
