  1. If loading mowers is one of the builds criteria`s maybe a tiltbed system like my IW plant trailer, its so quick and easy to load like this. I junked the hand pump and fitted an electric tail lift pump to it and its got a leccy winch under the front of the bed.
  2. Just toss the coins to the driver, you will be surprised how much difference a cash incentive can make Bob
  3. The easy sheet on my trailer hangs off the side of the bin 9" , luckily its higher than most gates but if its in the way I just pull the sheet over.
  4. 2.55 is the max, he may well be under that, my trailers vary from 8` to 8`6" . He will be folding his mirrors in but they are used to that. Bob
  5. Where there`s a will http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/arb-trucks/65296-bit-tight.html Bob
  6. Transits and small 4x4 trucks are all going to be roughly the same in terms of capacity, I suppose the first logical step if your pushed for capacity is to add another truck and driver. If and when you have outgrown these you really have to consider getting a decent lorry. We have a use for a few transits and 4x4`s but its the lorry`s that shift the bulk of it. Bob
  7. We have mulched Rhody on sites before now and the lads doing the planting have followed along behind us planting through the mulch. It all took so I can only assume its ok. Bob
  8. You are not supposed to eat them are you I though they belonged in the spill kit. Bob
  9. Vid of my old clunker doing some blades for a mate, these took less than two minutes. Its got an adjustable sweep of up to a meter so you can line up about six sets of the timberwolf blades at a time if you want. You have to click on image. Bob
  10. Decent pads, anti squeal shims and worth checking there is no slop in the wheel bearings. Bob
  11. 8 - 10 ton left, any takers? Bob
  12. Just bought this petrol mobile compressor for less than some of the leccy 12volt ones It keeps up with a nut gun. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=194193&stc=1&d=1448816152
  13. Watched the last F1 yawnathon race of the season, chucked some belts on the tracked chipper and now going to decant the homebrew Bob
  14. I reckon two Jehovah witnesses would probably do it Bob
  15. You would not need cones or TM if you dressed your guys in Hazmat suits and put ebola signs up. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=194174&stc=1&d=1448751150
  16. My advice would be to look at the run times of these inflators and make sure you spend more than £50 on one. We have melted dozens of the cheapys over a period of time, I bought a load to chuck in the works trucks and the lot are knackered. I checked on the max run times afterwards and some are 3 minutes which is about enough time to pump up a barrow tyre. Bob
  17. Some great snaps Eddie, what the hell was the Kubota doing in the drink ? Bob
  18. We cleared that bit about a year ago and I believe they will be on it soon, from what I can see of the other sections they are on its conventional footings. Bob
  19. Stubbs I dont think the root fibers concerned them because all the trees are gone but the increased moisture content of the clay post deforestation ( ground heave) did Bob
  20. I was watching these guys working on a section of a site that we cleared about a year ago, turns out they are doing a "desiccation study" I think thats spelt right . They are basically trying to determine the change in ground conditions post deforestation but prior to building. What interested me ( because I am a sad old git) is the root fiber`s present in the core samples at 1.4 -1.6 mts and deeper. I remember the job and there was nothing bigger that 9" diameter growing on the site.

    he loves me

Its a bit like my dash hound
  22. I make up 3/8 chain with clevis hooks on both ends and they do just about every job going, I use them as a choker, holding loads down, pulling and just general multi purpose chuck in the motor one thing does all bit of kit.
  23. There is a reason older diesels have power surges when they run low on fuel. A small gulp of air sends the internals of the pump crazy, the advance and fuel metering goes haywire momentarily which is why they rev so high prior to conking out. Bob
  24. The 9 ton site dumper they thought would rescue the tracked chipper
  25. A working D7, what a gem Bob
