  1. I hate the generic wage concept, if our guys could keep their traps shut they would all have a different amount in their wage packets. Bob

[quote name=Justme Non of that helps work out what you can tow as you have not specified your GTW. If your vehicle does not have a GTW on the weight plate then it cant tow at all.[/quote] While on this subject I thought there was a scale of tow weights depending on vehicle type. It used to be that a 2wd vehicle could tow 60% of its unladen weight and a 4wd 100% of its unladen weight. Or is this well out of date? Bob
  4. You need to price it as you see fit and hope for the best, There are teams on here that would smash that out and be playing pocket billiards by two in the afternoon. Bob

If I were you Bird I would chuck your money at the trailer test, these unbraked single axle under 750kg trailers are not really up to much. They are generally built as light as possible and on a tight budget, horrid things bouncing about all over the place:thumbdown: Bob

  10. Too right, Scania are torturing a friend of mine to death as we speak. They dont use lube either, they let you have it as it is Bob
  11. Thats more like it Pete, I can feel a trip ooop norf coming on Bob
  12. I hate battery nut guns, they are either flat when you go to get them or they go flat before you finished. Go air or petrol, air is ok if you have a decent compressor but even then you will find yourself waiting for it to build up if there is lots to do. Just one more thing and thats the torque rating, that gun in the red case produces more torque than the two larger air guns so all is not what it seems. Petrol is the dobermans danglers for truck wheel nuts Or just get a drizzle cake
  13. Very nice Wainy, two nice bits of back saving kit there. Bob

  19. Chainsaws with radio`s fitted? how long have they been about ? Bob:)
  20. The gap is not what it seems, the roller knife tips dont stay in synch because the rollers motors are piped on a common feed and return. The gap looks big when a knife tip say on the top roller is pointing at a flat of a knife on the bottom roller. If you were to get the knives on the top and bottom rollers to run tip to tip the gap would be small but they dont stay in synch. As Simonm points out they do wear . Bob
  21. Now that is a neat idea and good value. +1 on the Anderson couplings but its worth going for the 350amp version if you are using them on a winch. Its also worth the extra for the handles, its so much easier to plug/unplug the critters when wet or icy. Its also worth putting them up out of the way of road grit and crap or get the rubber protective covers for them. Bob
  22. The spring should be pushing down on a ball bearing or a plunger ( detent) Gray. There is a notch in the shaft that it pushes into to keep the shaft in its selected position. Bob

    Ploggs .

I must say I did not enjoy the witch-hunt at the end, I feel those closer to Jon should have perhaps advised him to calm things down a little. Tiz sad but some of the points raised were valid. Bob
