  1. A few weeks ago I saw a saw on gumtree which was Stihl coloured but it said it was not a Stihl even though it was written on (in black marker)
  2. It'll be alright till it sucks a seagull into the inlet.
  3. My 036 was running out of fuel with half a tank left and everything looked fine but I ordered a new fuel line anyway. When I took the old one out it had set and was not following the fuel as the level dropped. It works right to the end of a tank now. I don't know what it was run on before but I use Aspen in it.
  4. Several places have them and badge them to suit, like Timberpro on ebay selling something similar at £99 for a 58cc. I suppose the factory puts whatever stickers you want on the saw.
  5. I was galloping past on a horse and got something in my eye causing temporary loss of vision and still could not mistake that for a Husqvarna. That Ferrari can't be genuine either it's way underpriced, probably the wrong colour.
  6. How often do I need to do this ? Have you squared up the bar rails, checked it for rough edges or tried turning it ? It could be any combination of things really, does it do it with your spare chain fitted ?
  7. Sounds like someone blowing smoke up your ass ?
  8. I read somewhere that all fungi can be eaten but some only once
  9. 555 is the detuned 560 isn't it ? It should give you a bit more torque than the 550 but it doesn't have the two tone paint job or crank stuffers. Thread here from 2013 about it.
  10. You want to watch that it sounds like BSE
  11. On Arbtalk when I click on a link to amazon or any sales place except ebay it is directing me to a site called viglink which says it is there to help me find better options. On their website there is an opt out which I have chosen to activate. Is it part of your site Steve or something that has crept in ?
  12. Anybody seen saw troll lately ? He'd be able to tell you who built the saw and which line they worked on, what time they knocked off that day and where they went for dinner.
  13. First three digits of the serial number are the month and year aren't they?
  14. Just had to look on acresinternet and the powerhead alone was 6.3 kilos. 280cd specs on there
  15. My wife has a problem with the same word but she always gets the f in the wrong place saying speficic and she also has problems with windows cumulative updates.
  16. Resealable Ziploc bag
  17. If your chain snaps it will not brake because it is broken, that's why you have a chain catcher.
  18. It's snowing lots here at the moment, looks like it's in for the day.
  19. And it's a chain brake not a chain break while we're at it.
  20. Slings1 on ebay is on Sheepbridge industrial estate not far from here, they do winch straps, towing straps and lifting slings. Friend of mine has had slings and winch straps and they are good quality well made items.
  21. I don't even need one of these but now I've seen the videos I want one
  22. Cold with miserable drizzle here at the moment, some really gusty wind overnight though (not bean related)
  23. Husqvarnas rev their nuts off ? What's max rpm on 560xp and a comparable Stihl model ? Max power rpm on the 560xp is still 9,600rpm, similar for the MS362 which doesn't sound like nuts off territory to me. They have rev boost but that's just for a faster pick up.

    Loony Lefties

Who we have to bail out occasionally with their own money so they can pay their annual bonuses out. I've never been refused an operation, who was doing the moaning ? I had to wait 4 months for a hernia operation but I didn't think that was excessive. When I had bladder cancer I was treated within a month so no complaints there either. I spent 4 hours in A&E last Friday getting steri stripped after a dog bite and no complaints again. As for the world of high finance, leave it to those equipped to deal with it is my theory.
  25. Have you tried disconnecting the kill switch wire ? Same coil fits everything up to an 044 so there are plenty of aftermarket replacements about.
