  1. It ought to be sold like petrol where you can take your can and have it filled. It bugs me that the containers are not recycled in this way. I hate wasting something useful.
  2. I haven't had Pfanners but I have had lots of builders gloves and the rubber peels off the cheap ones in short order. The best ones I've had didn't have a maker name but they were reinforced in the joint between the thumb and forefinger where the cheap ones always wear first. The ones I have at present are grey cut resistant Gripz ones and have been good for a freebie from a friend.
  3. Locations don't show under avatars any more, is this optional ? Just the county would be a plus to give a clue where someone is selling or needs something.
  4. Wasted on 4" wood then, I asked about chain speed not power Bill.
  5. What's the chain speed like on them. The cut looks like it was done by a beaver.
  6. They could have mowed it first, that would have made it worthwhile.
  7. I saw that on gumtree, buyer collects.
  8. She was going to throw it in the canal but I said Waitrose, stick it in a tree.
  9. And it's posted in the "Rate my hinge" thread Look at the top of the page

    Stihl 017 mix?

    50:1 with decent oil.
  11. A friend of mine has a Jasic 200 amp multi process welder and it works well as a mig and as an arc welder. Not tried as a tig as no argon available but don't need that function really.
  12. It takes dedication to get a shopping trolley that far up a tree.
  13. Anything I can scrounge that I can get to use my saw on. Sycamore and birch but not poplar or goat willow if I can help it.

    Jokes???

I nearly got caught shoplifting kitchen utensils, I can't stop though I'm a compulsive whisk taker. I know it's bad to be racist but I just hate marathon runners.
  15. Yes but did it survive the fall into the nearby bush ?
  16. Is the impulse line connected and intact ?
  17. They are cobs, when we were delivering a bike up North from here we went into a cafe and asked for a bacon cob and they looked at us gone out, apparently it's a stottie up there.

It'll be quicker than Mark posting his film link
  19. I did that with my 044 and replaced the piston with an ebay bargain, my thinking was if it doesn't work I'd get a Meteor piston and cylinder but it was fine. I used patio cleaner/brick acid to dissolve the aluminium transfer and rubbed it out with 240 grit and oil. There was one small pit in the Nikasil below the exhaust port not in a critical area and it's a good saw again now. It's worth spending a bit of time and money to get one running again and it gives you a warm glow when it works.
  20. Get a bigger bag and don't try to put it in the bag head first
  21. Yeah but what about coiling it back in again
  22. Ungrateful little beggars aren't they ? When I got stuck up a tree my dad said "you got yourself up there you can get yourself down" and he was right.
  23. Not having any rope I find the ladder essential plus I can clean gutters as well I might save up for a rope but I think I might be a bit old for proper climbing.
  24. Odd that, they used to breed like flies. I've just come in and to say how cool it is there are still a lot of moths about here. Is it just in Germany or worldwide ?
  25. If they are making money from the eucalyptus by pulping it why would they set fire to it ? It's bad that the fires happen and the eucalyptus contributes to the rapid spread of the fires and anyone who deliberately sets the fires should be at least charged with attempted murder. I'm sorry for the loss of your property and it must be devastating to lose what you put so much of your life and soul into.
