  1. Gravity mate, it's never left anyone up there yet.

    Ms261 flooding

Are you storing it on it's side ? Can't help you as it sounds impossible the way a saw works but you could drain it at end of work.
  3. I bought a no name piston from mowers and co on ebay a couple of years ago, 12mm gudgeon pin for my 044 just to see if it would go again and it's been running fine for 2 years now. I'd have gone for a Hyway probably if I hadn't thought I would be doing the saw again with a piston and cylinder kit but it's pleasantly surprised me.
  4. Glorious sunshine here and about 15°c on the back yard.
  5. Honey Bros shows it on their site.

    Rare rim sprocket

Part number was 0000 642 1241 but it's discontinued by Stihl. Best of luck with your search. Nobody even the Americans can't find them.
  7. Apparently wood burners are now responsible for dementia on top of everything else.

    Stihl 462

I've looked at videos and pictures of them and although I get by with my little 135 I would really like one of these
  9. You need a drop plate fitted upside down so it's a lift plate.
  10. My friend who cuts firewood down at the farm does the sawing thing with his saw, usually when his chain is starting to get blunt. He seems to think it helps it cut faster but he always ends up cursing and changing the chain.

    bamboo

Get a Panda on a contract, all down in black and white that way.
  12. I've done Stihl, Husqvarna and a few jobs on cheap Ryobi or other generic shop makes and can't see how undoing screws on any of them is more awkward than any of the others. Some of the cheap ones use odd fittings like throttle cables instead of linkage which can be a pain but Stihl or Husky are mostly OK.
  13. Would that affect the running of the saw? It looks like it's from the bar oil tank.
  14. Taliban wagon every time if I had room for one
  15. Yes but how can you trust a nation that calls a battery a pile
  16. She'll not land flat on her face though
  17. Now you've made us look silly ?
  18. You can get Oregon trousers at Screwfix for £60 and I've been looking at orange wellies on eBay today for £24.95 with £7 postage.
  19. Yes you'll need a generator as well
  20. They have cameras on phones nowadays, it's like living in the future. ?

    Habitat piles?

    Or a small hill
  22. Is the blade the bar or the chain ? It's the bit that does the cutting.
  23. Why would you strip a perfectly good saw to try to fix an old clunker ? If you can hear the bearings then something is wrong with the bearings, swapping the piston and cylinder will not do anything to alleviate that problem.
  24. Sell it and get something a bit bigger if you need more power and a better chain.
  25. Will it turn with the chain removed? If not see above post.
