  2. Hi guys I am looking for some chainsaw chaps as I have put on a load of weight and out grown 2 pairs of chainsaw trousers so was wondering if anybody had some they dont need any more as chainsaw chaps one size fits all Thanks Mark

  5. Hi English Elm is getting quite rare in any decent size and as you said dont know when you will get any more so explain this and charge 150 you could always ask what will happen to them after the wedding maybe you could rent them and then make something else out of them Cheers Mark

Have you looked at the turbosaw swing mill a mate of mine is selling them they are quite expensive but for dimensional timber they are cool and very mobile but for the money you could get a very nice bandmill have a look at them and give me a shout if you want my mates phone number he is near Bath good luck Cheers Mark

Oh come on Matty any tree like that dont deserve to be felled unleess it has to be there are plenty of diseases and parasites attacking our trees , such a shame to see it come down , but as its going to no matter what I bet it will milll up nicely and live on as furniture , I wouldnt mind some boards from it , but still a sad loss to our trees Cheers Mark

Hi guys , I have out grown 2 pairs of chainsaw trousers in 18months and its getting expensive I only do chainsaw carving and milling and last year I was at a show and was lent a pair of chaps and got on ok with them so I thought I would ask on hear if anybody had some they would part with before I went looking else where Cheers Mark

Hi I know what you mean I have just milled cedar to make 5 very similar benches for a school not quire As big but they take alot of timber and time to sand and put together , but you are lucky enough to hav3 a 2ft planer , I would love one but at 3grand ish just haventgot the money , nice benches that will last ages zI will post some pics of mine when I get a min Cheers Mark

  16. Anybody heard the word Kyanize my girlfriend just pointed it out to me from the dictionary its a way to preserve timber by steeping in a corrosive sublimate , not sure what that would entaile so there we go useless fact of the day . Cheers Mark

Can you not just say to the said matey you would like to mill some of said tree offer him a plank for a shelf and just get on ask him to come and have a go milling maybe he could bring a tractor to help move stuff , I find if you just talk to people most of the time it ends up ok good luck with it Cheers Mark
  19. For a bit kit that big it doesnt look like it will take very wide boards maybe you dont need it to , nice to be able to do 4 sides at once and and moulding ace do show us it working when you get it set up Good lluck with it Cheers Mark

Hi everyone , I look after a small estate 2days a week and over the weekend a quite big plum tree came down , we do not have a tractor so most of the limbs had to be cut quite short most of it is too small for the kind of things I like to make so its up for grabs if anybody wants any for turning or small thingsI am in dorset P M ,me if anybody is interseted Cheers Mark

  23. Hi I would use either teak,danish or osmo any of those will be fine I like teak oil as it seems to penetrate better but other poeple may differ Cheers Mark

  25. I have quite a bit of tesin , it was in our local tip in with all the paint and they just let you take whatever so I took it all
