  6. One of my recent pieces; I wanted to do something a bit different that still had a use and I'd been thinking of making a grandfather clock for a while. I've done a couple of these now - this one's made out of sweet chestnut and was s'posed to be sold but I had one of those annoying customers who ordered it and then rang me on the day he'd arranged to pick it up - his dishwasher had broken and he couldn't afford it anymore. Good job I don't get many customers like that!

  14. Cheers for all your comments guys, much appreciated. Fortunately, there's nothing in our contract that says we have to deal with the agent - our lease is with the owner not them. I'm just curious about whether it may be actually illegal for them to tell us we can't contact our own landlady? The corrupting influence of power and money eh?!
  15. Hoping someone might have a bit of legal savvy as I'm having issues with my yard. Unfortunately, the owner of the property is now in her 80's so she employs an asset management company to handle her affairs. She's lovely but they ain't! Anyway, as the lease is between us and her, not us and them, do they have the right to tell me that I can't contact her to speak to her in person? Would be grateful for any info!
  16. Hi Steve I have tryed to get an old lawn bowl but not had any luck I dont spose it makes any odds though wood is wood , but clamping a bowl may pose a challange , why do you ask do you have one going spare Cheers Mark
  17. Hi I would rather have tats than a beard I have had my lip piersed for 20yrs or so I only have one ring in one side now but used to have 3 each side and never had any bad comments got kissed by a ppolice woman in cardiff so she could see what it felt like but that was before facial piersings were so common no it defo would not bother me I would employ someone who had a whole face done as long as he or she was good at their job being an old punk rocker I was used to being judged by how I looked so could not do it to anyone else Cheers Mark
