Hi I milled some holly with my alaskan and just stickerd it in my workshop and it was fine , maybe I was lucky , but holly is such a nice colour mine was creamy/grey , but big enough to mill is quite rare but I have managed to find just one but worth milling in the last year just need to find time to mill it good luck with yours some pics would be cool Cheers Mark

Hi mate talk to Davies implaments in wales they import norwood mills with that sort of money you should get a new one or a place called just saws they import Hudson mills I looked right into most mills as i thaughtI had an investor turned out he was just a **** but found out alot about banrmills good luuck Cheers Mark
  13. Hi just had a thaught some people chainsaw mill with a full chiesil chain and you can get that in csrbide tip so maybe that would be a way to go just a thaught Cheers Mark

Hi speek to Rob D on hear I know he milled some with his alaskan as I saw some planks when I did a milling course with him , lovley colour , I have some just havent got round to milling it yet I did cut a small slice with my carving saw and it wasnt that bad came up like glass with the sander , I would steam clean it and metal detect a few new chains and give it a go some pics would be cool if you do it Good luck Mark

Hi its a funny world I have just bought one and the old boy who I got it off was making nice furniture and never had a prob with it the box he had it in was almost as wide as a double garage 4ft tall and wide I do have some speck for it that cornish cough kindly sorted for me if you P M me your email or address I will send you a copy , I just need some selotex to make my box, I paid a100quid for mine , will look out the speck tomorrow while I am in my yard Cheers Mark

  19. Have you seen any of Grinlin Gibbons carvings they are all done in lime inside stuff , but amazing in one there are sheets of music that look like they would move in the wind so lifelike , and yrs and yrs old so ideal for carving stuffto go inside Cheers Mark
