  1. Just because a bin isn't plastic or has four wheels or holds 1100L+, doesn't mean it's not a wheelie bin. http://www.britishbins.co.uk/galvanised-wheelie-bins/
  2. I don't get it. I though boroughs would want to discourage fly-tipping.
  3. Most of the ones I've done, have been near or on buildings. And a two section ladder was all I needed.

    Tree Bees

As the song goes, "The female of the species is more deadly than the male." Yep. Drones don't sting. And like most males of any species, they only have one thing on their minds.
  5. Not just that but they'll also have the knowledge, that you didn't just pop into a random shop the day before.
  6. ... and it drizzles still.

    Tiny echo!

But meanwhile, you're down one saw.
  8. Drizzle as yesterday.
  9. No exact details. But just got notification from police, that quad bikes are being targeted for theft in the Caerphilly, Gwent & south Powys areas at the moment. Might be a coincidence but as of June 19th, there's now a transient settlement on the Hereford-Abergavenny road.
  10. Nice one!
  11. If you can imagine it, it's probably been placed or left or blasted into a tree. If it's the first time you've hit a nail, there's only one real certainty, it won't be the last such occurrence.
  12. Seems remarkably calm.
  13. The likelihood of imported goods being more expensive, makes me wonder if insurance cover is going to rise. Also, there is likely to be an increase in the amount of gear theft. The latter would seem to be an ongoing escalation and will I feel only get worse. While our exports may be better value to the purchaser. The same product made in the UK and sold here, is still likely to rise in cost, as raw materials of component parts, is also probably going to be more expensive to import. The notion that VAT could be scrapped, is never going to happen. As the collected revenue is a sizeable sum, that no UK government could now afford to turn away. We're not the only country to have VAT.
  14. Well they are touching but I'd call it a bunch of trees.
  15. There aren't any CSs made in the UK, so new kit is bound to be more expensive.
  16. Brother-in-law had a 6m x 4m shed moved from one end of the garden to the other. It was and now is on stilts. Two men took 50mins. to take it down; 15mins. to move it; then an hour to put it back up and that included new felt. Can't remember the exact price but it was around £160inc. £300 to erect a 6' x 4' shed is take the proverbial!
  17. About the same as you but no T+L. Pretty wet all told.
  18. If it's a new saw and think it will be an ongoing problem, take it back to the dealer - replacement saw or money back. Don't hold your breath though. I often think the definition of the dealer as being ~ You had money, me got money, now bugger off. Apologies to all members who are also dealers.
  19. Think I'll be stern here and bow out.
  20. Nice...
  21. 800kg with pallet truck is easily moved. But it need the right surface. As said, pump-truck don't like bumps, dips or even small stones. The idea of pouring a self levelling surface is a good one, providing the underlying surface is pretty good already and will support the weight.
  22. Family friend, (now deceased) always bought Morgans. At one point, he had three, his wife had one and his eldest had one too. I seldom got to be a passenger but what I remember, is that they were exhilarating and uncomfortable. Bit like a classic MG on roids.
  23. Yep. That's one whole bunch of wood. Nice vids too.
