  1. i use two 1 cube bags fill the first one up then put second one half in truck other on tail gate and fill and just hold back one with strap works fine. not often i do it but saves dragging trailer 10 miles to dump logs.
  2. to right am i charging for doing it. plus have contract to keep it up together. will take some photos of it before never seen such a mess and they want to be paid for it. council have told them to go away. wish i knew someone who had a acrobat and a small baler would make bales from it but would be only good for compost, to much rubbish in it.
  3. have won a contract to cut a playing field as last jokers made a total mess of it. never cut it untill last week and was 6inches tall. that was not to bad as was going to cut it in increments untill down. they came back and cut it down but left the grass now a hay field. any good idea to be able to remove grass thats been left. if i use collector be there days was thinking of puting side disharge on and blowing in rows then collect and get rid off. how they get work is beyond me. what i have seen of there work is a disgrace and they are so called profesianals and a major player.
  4. +1 have a d22 and put two bags on mine with tail gate down. no problem
  5. try bill car engineering shrewsbury. one of the best 4x4 engineering firms in the uk. or go on facebook 4x4 spares chap was scrapping a navara.
  6. +1 mine had done 70k before engine went bang. when they replaced engine clutch was ok but got them to fit new clutch to go with engine. i pull my plant trailer a lot either with mower on or digger or logs. does not misss a beat touch wood.
  7. no what i was saying was that if you own a boat and it runs on derv you can put green in which is cheaper than white.yet if you use a tractor for amenity work you have to use white at pump prices. as other posts no matter what you drive or use it should be the same derv at at a cheaper price but can you see the treasury doing that no way. or will scrap red and green and will all pay pump rices with no rebate. they did say at one time that they would help rural users never happened
  8. have to agree a austrian sythe in someone who can use one will cut faster neater than any brushcutter and no fuel needed. when i can get time i am going to learn to use one.
  9. shame its not nearer some interesting kit. stacks of firewood kindling in sacks and bulk bags. aprox £1 a bag. but manchester to far to look and bid and collect if did win
  10. use a steel blade and hit the above you will know you have hit it better clearing most with cord then clear the saplings with blade. as for model type thread running what brshcutter plenty of info on that thread.
  11. checked the data on the sthil v honda Bike-type Max power output 1.6hp/7000rpm Power (kW) 1.20 Engine type GX35 mini 4-stroke Engine size (cc) 35 Fuel capacity (litres) 0.65 Oil capacity (litres) 0.10 Starter mechanism Recoil Dry Weight (kgs) 7.5 Nylon head Spool Blade type supplied 3 tooth blade Noise value (dB(A)) 111 Vibration (m/sec²) £469 sthil Displacement cm³ 45.6 Power output kW/bhp 2.2/3.0 Weight kg 1) 8.5 Sound pressure level dB(A) 2) 100 Sound power level dB(A) 2) 113 Vibration levels left/right m/s² 3) 2.5/2.1 Vibration levels left/right with metal blade m/s² 3) 1.9/1.6 Overall length m 4) 1.79 £862.80* so sthil has more power per data sheet. but my honda does all that i want it to do. and half the price its up to you to decide.
  12. what size is the 460 i asume by number its 46cc. depends what you will use it for. but could look at other makes i rate Honda 435 very good brushcutter. efco very good. see if you can have a go at different makes. if they want the sell they can see if you can try one
  13. that is not fair on the smaller farmers. who are on hills or have only a small acreage. or market gardens. as other posts there should be a rebate on one derv if you are using it for agg arb, amenity. then every one is getting same not the arable barons with thousands of acres getting thousands and the hill farmer with 100 qcres who running costs may be more due to looking after livestock gets less. but cherry should go and just have white. also this would mean those who have super yatchs would pay the same. unlike now run on green which is cheaper than white. if you can run 200k plus boats you can afford to pay for white
  14. any saw with a 14 to 16inch bar will do what you want. sthil261 very good saw. husky 550 bit on big side echo efco,dolmar/makita.
  15. its not agriculture so if you put one tyre on road then you have to be running on white. its amenity and as such does not have exemption like agriculture tractors. you can use red if not on public roads. know a council and have to get from one playing field to next. because of this has to run white all the time. its mad if your doing agg work or amenity work and not haugling diggers and like then should be able to run on red. once again hmrc want there cut. getting very enforceable of late anything they are involved with
  16. i wear a polo shirt made by Jerzees and printed by local printing co i find it very comfy best i have worn and keeps me cool. i tried a singlet but could not get on with it looked a bit unprofessional. but my veiw.
  17. +1 i suffer from white finger raynards disease. the heated handles keeps the fingers warm so allowing blood flow in. its not being a girls blouse. having used breakers for years without dampers like now if i use a saw for extended periods my hands swell to nearly double size and pain is yuk takes a good hour to get any feeling back in hands. they do say it helps stop this so can see it working for old arther. what is a heated handle £50 on top has to be worth it less than a 1p a day in the life of a saw
  18. ned to find out what the rpm is to the chipper from shaft. and size of shaft then get a bigger engine which will run at same rpm may not need to run as fast as more grunt.
  19. mine is 75k cost me £100 but covers me is stuff does get nicked. suprising how much a digger is worth to replace like for like. hence needing this amount to cover. hate to think how much a mewp is worth. so maybe need a larger in plant insurance if hiring in this kit. or its you who has to make the shortfall up. as if its worth 100k and your covered for 75k then you have to find the 25k. ouch:blushing:
  20. hollow grinding blades with proper hollow grinder gives a very sharp and smooth finish enabling them to cut more efficiently without getting jams. same with garden shears they should be hollow ground. i did use to do this when i had the kit. find a proper firm who have a hollow grinder. they do it with guillotine blades. and use the same machine. worth having a spare set of blades whilst they are being done.
  21. couild look at the toro very good mower not cheap but well made and do a 3in1 and do some big decks for walk behinds.
  22. gallop like roundup but better mixed with chikara. this stops them coming back lays in gravel. then as other posts use a rake of some kind to get it back. if its very bad i would take off the gravel weed kill. spray with tar emulsion a rake width spread a layer over untill all the drive is covered this will keep gravel in place then spread rest over. emulsion will keep weeds at bay. does a good job
  23. has to be the worse one for a fake. its shouting i am fake. give them £2.50 for it
  24. only if doing for a client pa1 and 6 required. and grazon was withdrawn unless some have it in stock. do not know what the new ones are. need the full works for grazon boots ppe gloves mask and visor got a job to do with it not looking forward to it. maybe thats why they withdrew it. but it does the job have to say for total gone to cda so easy to use only boots and gloves so easy and cheap to use and does the ctrick. stuff knapsacks. pity they do not do selective for them make job so easy.
  25. wife was driving down road with daughter saw these cars sverving as they got near looked like a rag in road then saw it was a cat pulled over picked it up took to vet. vet did his tricks had a chip no worse effects except bruising and reunited with the owner. who was over moon
