  1. Probably should have better results for 200mb broadband but no problems on my tablet so as others have stated. It works.
  2. Good job are the wee antlers scroll sawn?
  3. Smaller milled lengths can be used for rustic signs and relief carving practice bits. Ive made a dining table and coffee table out of pine no problem as well as plenty of relief carving. Not everyone is after cabinet making quality stuff. Wouldnt use it for bowl turning mind.
  4. I think Trump will do just fine as president. I don't think that he will get everything his own way but there has to be a few drastic changes to improve the americans lives. Hopefully in a few years some of these changes will cross the pond like cultural changes in the past have. Fingers crossed that political correctness is one of the first. Regarding the religion/philosophy side of the thread, i have been dead, all be it for a couple of minutes until i was resuscitated. In my experience there was no deity beckoning me and certainly not a hareem of virgins, it was that piss poor an experience that my body decided to respond to the doctors efforts to get me the hell out of there. Might be im just one of the unlucky ones but for me there was nothing just like when you blackout and time goes out the window. So now religion for me is just one less thing to get worked up about.

    How.

  6. As Dante descended further into hell he witnessed the humble politician being made to run to and from the chipper with codwood, a truly hideous and harrowing way to spend eternity. Scotland was a warning for labour, looks like they are not heeding that warning on a UK level. Corbyn and Smith, the heavyweights of the Labour Party, scraping the bottom of the talent barrel. It's been said before, back in the nineties you could rattle off the names of most of the cabinet and shadow cabinet, now we are faced with lanyard wearing nameless faces with nothing inspiring to say. The referendums have supposedly engaged more of the population with politics, I think the next election will see the lowest turnout in history.
  7. Our woodwork teacher used to show us how to do these kind of trinkets and we used a drill press as we were too young to use the lathe which was for the older lads. He was probably doing it well in excess of 8000 years ago. And he was from an engineering background if i recall.
  8. It's box office stuff for sure. Recording on the aljezeera eng channel as well just to see how the pundits on each channel make of it.
  9. Recording it tonight, wasted enough early starts this year due to staying up for political issues. Trump 1 Clinton nil is my prediction.
  10. It's a lot quicker with a drill press than a lathe unless you have a few jigs made up IME.

    Any ideas??

Do they taste sweet like condensed milk or tart like granny smiths?
  12. He needs to keep on top of that grass, shameful.
  13. Good point:lol: If I wandered about all my days in my curtains I would have a very different perspective on life.
  14. You got many jobs today Stefan? nice day in the Shire. Going for a walk with the wife to see the Tour of Britain roll through the town.
  15. Good on you Stefan, I can't be bothered going to weddings either, complete waste of my time. Often drop the wife off at these types of functions and means I get the evening to myself to potter about at my leisure, pick her up at the end of the evening, works for us.
  16. I would substitute the strong mints for paracetamol for the hangover cure:sneaky2: I use a foil tray as well (the ones you use for turkey at christmas)
  17. 2 ltrs Irn bru, packet of trebor extra strong mints and a squirt of lynx africa shower gel will do the trick.

    Rio Olympics

Well I think Tokyo will be bloomin marvelous, unless they have an earthquake, typhoon or godzilla attack:001_tt2:
  19. Curry night in ballamory, nothing to worry about.
  20. What did they do to you in the navy to make you want to tattoo your hands? Personally that seems completely off the scale. But it's your hands.
  21. I would put a bin bag or similar over it before pulling. Found my second case of HB a couple if weeks ago and got rid. First case was last year arriving from a nursery pot. Simple to remove and one to keep an eye on.
